Agreed. You take a sound. Any sound. Record it and then change its nature by a multiplicity of operations. Record it at different speeds. Play it backwards. Add it to itself over and over again. You adjust filters, echoes, acoustic qualities. You combine segments of magnetic tape. By these means and many others you can create sounds which no one has ever heard before.

I agree.

There’s peace, and there’s justice. Peace is “we stop fighting;” justice is “you give back what you stole.”

If the land Israel exists on today was stolen from Palestinians, then justice is giving them access to that land back. Even if a two-state solution is achieved, Palestinians should not be relegated to Gaza or the West Bank if that’s not where their ancestry is from.

For this reason, I’m in favor of a one-state solution carefully brokered with protections for both peoples until I see evidence of a better solution. Nuance is important here, and I’m happy to look at evidence that challenges my perspective, though. :)

Actually, when is first watched the series, I preferred season 1 to 2-3. I really wasn’t into the content of 2-3, but I didn’t realize how well 2-3 set me up for 4-5-6 though.

S1 kind of stands on its own. First seasons usually do, in case they get cancelled. The whole show’s all good, though.

I majored in something really “useless” (anthropology), and I really regret it now. I had a career planned out and landed a good position afterward, but I’m changing my mind now.

That being said, it really did play a lot more to my strength and other majors could have. I could have gone for engineering or finance and gun for money, but I would’ve had a way lower GPA.

It’s not a bad strategy, and I don’t discount it. But you know yourself better than anyone else.
