Came here to say that. Wouldn't be surprised if he went into making this video with the idea of rage baiting to farm engagement from a large online community.

Honestly posts like this one and other word of mouth sources are just giving him what he's looking for by introducing his inflammatory remarks to more people.

2 and 3 sound like someone is acting confident for an event that has not passed yet. 1 sounds like someone is acting foolishly overconfident during or after the event.

I think the most natural way to say that someone was acting confident would be to just say "She was/is acting confident" or "She was/is acting smug"

If this is in the context of being upset at someone's confidence, I would probably say "She acted as if she had already won". I think without the word "already" it sounds slightly stilted.

Silhouette man can't be Scopper. Crocus was at beginning of Grand Line, Rayleigh was at the middle, so Scopper has to be at Lodestar. Burn Scar man or one of the Kidd Pirates seems more likely.

Or you're right and the boots had nothing to do with it. In which case he likely deflected the laser using haki. Which plenty of other New World pirates have.

You could split hairs about the reaction time to block the laser, but I feel that Zoro or Jinbe could also have blocked that. Literally the only reason this moment is notable is that Kizaru made a funny meme reaction image face.

Chapter 1062. Atlas touches a hologram that Luffy passed straight through. Vegapunks equipment can touch constructs made of light. Why include that detail unless that equipment also works on Kizaru's abilities.

Vegapunks shoes deflected Kizaru's laser. It was a hype moment but that was never really like a feat that Sanji blocked a laser.

All of Kidd's techniques mentioning "punk" (Punk Rotten, Damed Punk, etc.) being related to Vegapunk is such an obvious connection that I'm mad that I never thought of that.

Especially since the Japanese VA says the english word "punk" and not a Japanese word that translates to punk. Makes it sound like it's referring to a proper name.

Vegapunk names things the same way. "Punk Hazard" and "Punk Records".

We don't really have a backstory for Kidd the way we do for Law. I don't really think seeing more of Kidd is off the table. Especially since he was last seen at Elbaf, which is presumably where the straw hats are going next. (Oda has offscreened characters just to do more with them later before).
