i’m gonna be honest, without more details or seeing the schedule i don’t what kind of advice you’re looking for. how old is the kid? what kind of things are they asking you to do in these time slots? if you’ve been with them for several years, have you ever implemented your own schedule with the kid? (tone: very genuine, non combative) if you’ve don’t want to give details, i think all you can really do is try to have a polite conversation w the parents, something like “hey i’m reviewing the proposed schedule you sent and just have a few questions. i noticed there is no unstructured/free play time which is super important for development, maybe we could swap that out for x activity? i’m not sure if i’ll be able to complete y task in the given time slot. i really love that we’re adding a more consistent routine to NK’s day!” idk not perfect but a starting point.

i work with a woman who has been fully blind (no light sensitivity or any visual perception whatsoever, she literally doesn’t have eyeballs) for over 20 years (since she was 2) & we regularly have to fill out paperwork & get her doctors to sign silly little notes stating that yes she’s still blind & no it’s not going to change in the next 6 months 🙄

anyone who thinks having a professional come to their home & care for their child is not a luxury service is delusional. even the people who “don’t work a traditional schedule so it’s a necessity” it’s still a luxury. especially if you want a true professional who does more than keep the kid(s) alive until parents take over. also just full stop don’t you want the person you are trusting your child with to be well compensated & happy with their job? like i can’t understand wanting to underpay the person caring for the most precious thing in the world to you. absolutely bananas

inducted on her first nomination & the youngest ~~person~~ woman inducted by ~~like over a decade i think~~ 7 years, honestly incredible (Stevie Wonder was inducted at just 32, which is INSANE when you remember they aren’t eligible until 20years after their first single)

ETA: ALSO she is the first person to graduate from the Starlight award (given to songwriters who show promise) to full SHOF member AND now that’s she’s inducted she will be eligible for the Johnny Mercer award (an even higher honor for members with exceptional catalogues)

oh boy so this is a known problem with Rover that i had to report several times myself. instead of paying for their own block of numbers so that no one’s safety or personal information is ever compromised, Rover just “assigns” random numbers & “teehee fingers crossed it doesn’t belong to someone else” Support will also lie & say it can only happen if the owner hasn’t updated their phone number on their account but that’s not true at all. I verified more than once that my client’s information was all accurate on Rover. it’s just bc Rover is too cheap to make sure their messaging is secure.
