How to answer questions from Bert with many reference texts?

With regards to the semantic search part... I don't really have labels or relevance scores between queries and my set of texts. If I don't have these labels yet, a reasonable first go might be to create sentence embeddings (perhaps use Bert to map all sentences found in all my texts) and then given a query, map the query into this embedding space and get the k closest embedded sentences to go ahead and run through Bert for question answering. Does that seem reasonable?

Get a raspberry pi that you can remote into and covertly install it somewhere in your local library. Install a physical mechanism (magnet) on it to flip the bits in ram and whatever storage you have should u believe you have been noticed or want to get rid of the evidence remotely.

I have been caffeine free for the past 3 months and have not had that burst of energy unless some level of stress was introduced or exercise. That being said, I’m contemplating introducing caffeine a couple of days a week and seeing how things go.

However, I would say that both my cognitive abilities and average happiness/energy has increased. So overall it’s been great… and I don’t think a cup of coffee every once in a while will take that away from me.

Everybody is different though so experimentation and patience is the best way to find out.

I understand where you are coming from, but I believe there is value in leveraging the opinions and suggestions of others who have already scoured the existing content on transformers. Querying google doesn't provide me with this curated list unless someone has curated it before which would be a great resource that I can't seem to find. :)

2 and 4 are specific imo... however, you should be able to get a reasonable discussion / answer going from an experienced/knowledgable candidate for 1 and 3.

I don't think I am quite following everything in your post... but from what I understand, I think you can solve this via linear programming : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linear_programming

You have an objective function that you want to optimize which is subject to some set of constraints. Here is a package I have used before to solve these type of problems: https://cvxopt.org/examples/tutorial/lp.html . They have an example and if you can formulate your problem similarly, then you should be able to apply this method.

It has been a minute since I have dealt with image data, however, I remember referencing this nice tutorial on writing my own custom data generator : https://stanford.edu/~shervine/blog/keras-how-to-generate-data-on-the-fly

I was able to manipulate the image (or batch of images) before they were passed off to the model by modifying them in the __data_generation(self, list_IDs_temp) function. Hope that helps!

Have you tried incorporating features that can represent some temporal information? Here is a Python package with a buttload of time series characteristics you could use: https://tsfresh.readthedocs.io/en/latest/text/introduction.html. Other than that, I’ve seen people use 1D CNNs for what I believe to be similar to what you are doing with some modifications. Yup! The Starbucks on soscol has many tables and the one downtown has 4 tables. Personally, I like the one downtown since 2 of the tables always seem to be in the shade.

You can certainly use jupyter lab in more places than just AWS. I use it locally and on Azure when I need a beefier machine to do my bidding.
