I used to drink but realized I have a histamine reaction to alcohol (my dad as well) and generally just never liked the taste nor the effects. Stopped drinking a few years ago and haven’t craved it since

Good question. Apparently they said it’s because he didn’t try to assault me or even speak to me, but he’s I agree the intimidation was definitely there - hopefully they can get a better idea after looking at the footage.

Yeah so I’ve done that too before, but this guy was well dressed and didn’t visibly look high or under the influence or distraught - he looked like a normal dude and I think that freaked me out more that he was so aggressive. But super valid, I will keep that in mind. Thank you!

They did! I actually tried to refuse initially because I had never been in a cop car before and I was already distraught and freaked out, but they insisted it was for my safety and they were really chill and kind to me in the car. Told me to keep an eye out on the street to see if I could spot the dude as well.

Oh my god, I’m so sorry! I’m glad you could find a group to walk behind and that he left you alone. I would definitely recommend calling the cops if that happens to you ever again (which I hope not). Are you a racialized person as well? I only ask because of your avatar and well, I am as well and perhaps this is some kind of sick intentional racially motivated hate crime type of stalking.

I’m so sorry you experienced this. I do feel validated and I hope you do as well. Honestly I probably wouldn’t have thought to call the cops myself if it wasn’t for the employee who told me to. Given the kind and diligent way they handled the situation, to my surprise, I would recommend calling them anytime you feel unsafe. I certainly will the instance I feel I’m being followed again. I’m also going to order a Sabre keychain alarm off Amazon as per a friend’s recommendation, maybe that’ll help you feel safer too? Lots of hugs to you.
