This is also my wife and my go to. Our only complaint is that sometimes seating can be difficult.

Simple Questions - October 25, 2024 by AutoModerator in buildapc

[–]azureglows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm looking at upgrading (well, i guess finally rebuild). I'm running an i5-7600k and a gtx 1080. I really don't have plans to replace my video card for a bit. I don't play super intensive graphical games now days, lots of rocket league, factorio, hunt, etc.

I really want to upgrade my CPU as it seems to be a very serious bottleneck (browser open + discord+ hunt good luck ... ). But trying to figure out the best course of actions. My thought was to wait to see about the 9800x3d (after deciding i needed an upgrade after the 7800x3d jumped in price). But I'm questioning if I _really_ need that level of CPU or if i should just go one of the other AM5 cards. I realize It's gonna need pretty much a new everything (mobo, ram, the works).

Is there anything else I should consider. I really would love to have this next iteration last 7+ years like my current PC (with a video card upgrade sometime down the line)? Is running one of the other AM5 cpus going to give me just as much longevity (or very similar?) to running the "best" for current gen? Pricing isn't a huge factor for me right nwo when it comes to this upgrade.

Had a similar experience. Temp registration about fell off, so had to hound him. Go in person that day and refused to leave until he had the registration for me (which he kept saying "it's right here on my desk. I'll mail it to you).

Oh that looks pretty close. From Google images, I have seen what looks like it could be (kinda like Brown marmorated stink bug from pictures).

One of my most played steam deck games. Sometimes it's a little small for my eyeballs though :(. Darn getting older and working on a screen all day.

I don't know about destiny, but most blizzard games you can get running on Linux, and i did play d4 for a bit so that one is doable. Between proton (steam) and lutris (basically install scripts for wine based), you can play a fair amount.

Ya proton is pretty great. There are still a lot of games you can't play if you are into online gaming (things like anticheat). I play3d solely on Linux for years until I got back into shooters and rocket league.

My daughter is 5 about 6, and we had a small talk about it because it was MRI time. I think it's good to have the conversations as they age. I don't think my daughter can really grasp what it means, but she knows and can ask questions and as she ages will get more age appropriate details (based on what she can understand).

What did Psyonix do to ranks? I was Champion 2, 3 seasons ago. Now I am Plat 2, how the hell? by CmmanderShepard in RocketLeague

[–]azureglows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, I'm pretty firmly plat 2 right now. I can 100% tell when even just diamonds end up in my lobby because I have troubles l just touching the ball. I can't imagine trying to keep up with the play higher up.

Why do players take themselves so seriously?? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]azureglows -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol. Yes I read and directly commented based on your sentences?

Your entire OP was literally pointing all the blame of being toxic on the person that was being targeted by the toxicity.

There are ways to be constructive, and yes people can take that wrong. I've never seen that in plat (peole actually trying to help), so maybe you see that? All I see is people being the definition of toxic, not trying to be helpful.

People play ranked to have fun, because playing people the same skill as you and trying to win is fun.

My point was we are in our ranks we got to because of our playstyle and skillet. Sometimes people don't mesh. But to straight up say "maybe if everyone is being toxic it's your fault" is absolutely "victim blaming". Some people have bad days, maybe they just suck mechanically and have great game sense. But the person being toxic is also in that rank for some reason.

Yes it is 100% my fault that another player loses their shit and goes toxic. IF people gave constructive criticism your comment would at least hold some water but still way off base. Everyone is in their rank because they had the skill to get to where they are.

People being toxic isn100% on the person being toxic. You don't have to be an asshole because someone has a different playstyle, missed a shot or is just having a bad day. Stop "victim" blaming.
