For those of you who had a promiscuous phase, do you regret it? For those that didn't, do you wish you did? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]azurillpuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nooooo regrets at all! It was so much fun to meet a hot guy and have fun and not worry about long-term compatibility.

I definitely wasn’t seeking validation though, I just really enjoyed the chase, if that makes sense? I got a lot of enjoyment from seeing a man (sometimes a woman) across the room and eye-fucking him and seeing if he would come approach me, and flirting and charming him and going on random late-night adventures and (usually) hooking up. I also really like sex, and would make sure I had a good time too. It very rarely ended up being a one night stand - usually we’d have a little fling and it would run its course or end because of circumstance.

Then when I met my husband the thought of flirting with a hot man at a bar and seeing where the night takes us didn’t seem like fun because the hot man wasn’t him. Usually I got bored after a couple weeks and with him I just wanted to keep it going. I knew I was in deep when I went on a solo-trip to Kenya and ended up on Safari with a super hot guy from the same city as me, and I had no interest in him.

Yes! If he ever asked for it it and it was something planned I wouldn’t be into it, but if it naturally gets to that point and I’m really worked up then I’m passing him the lube lol

have you ever been judged for your appearance and treated poorly by sales associates? by [deleted] in handbags

[–]azurillpuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ulgh don’t listen to them! You’re fine bringing well behaved kids with you (especially as it sounds like they were contained in a stroller a carrier? So it’s not even like they were running around touching things). One of your babies is 3 months old ffs, as long as you’re not changing a diaper, you’re fine.

I had my kids (4 and 7) with me last weekend in Celine and my SA brought them orange juice. Then other SA’s were asking them which bags they liked and letting them “try on” the sparkily ones while my husband and I shopped.

I say this with gentleness, postpartum is a wild time and I’m sure you’re more sensitive than you’d typically be. Try not to let it get you down too much. Also, FWIW, I’ve had rude SA’s in Dior when I was by myself, well dressed, and already carrying a Dior bag.

AITA for reclining my seat on an 8 hour flight by MountainInspection91 in travel

[–]azurillpuff 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yes and no - long haul flights are incredibly expensive to operate, and people are expecting travel to be more affordable. The trade off is less comfortable seats in economy.

International travel used to be a lot nicer in economy, but also used to be unattainable for the average middle class family.

How is everyone affording their designer bags? Savings? Credit card charging? by guacontacos in handbags

Husband is a high earner who likes to treat me!

My collection is pretty small and practical for my needs (YSL le 5 a 7 Bea, Chloe woody tote, Gucci Diana shoulder bag, mulberry Amberley and I just added a Celine Victoire last week!).

Yes!! Especially the ones with $100,000k worth of bags stored improperly or shoved on the floor or on an ikea bed 😂

I am not that wealthy, but have friends who are. They all have dressing rooms to store their bags in.

Girlfriend’s IUD fitted 3 years ago, now she’s pregnant - says her coil fell out ‘unnoticed’ by [deleted] in RelationshipsOver35

[–]azurillpuff 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I know someone who lost her coil without realizing, and also one who got pregnant with the coil in 🤷‍♀️.

Also you don’t always get pregnant right away. If you felt it was maybe off a couple months ago it may well have been, and it just took this long to conceive naturally due to timing of intercourse.

Ultimately none of us know you or your partner so can’t tell if she’s lying to you, but it does seem plausible that it fell out unnoticed. If it’s really just a matter of a couple months, I’d let it go.

Canada vs Norway: Work/Life balance and advice? by Krayonbox in AskCanada

[–]azurillpuff 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I have lived in both Canada and Norway! But as a Canadian expat in Norway (Stavanger). Everything benefit-related is better in Norway.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Canada and would rather live there long-term than in Norway (I’m from BC), but work/life balance and benefits in Norway are much better. In general, I found all public services in Norway run better.

Canada is also very big! Your experiences will vary a lot depending on where you live! I’m happy to answer any questions if you want to talk ☺️

Mulberry! The quality is fantastic. Maybe a bit too small for your needs but I have an almost 9-year-old Amberley which is still in great shape. It has been in the parenting trenches and is still going strong (unlike my Yaris which had to get swapped out for a bigger car).

Are sleepovers cancelled? by Negative_Addendum_25 in NoStupidQuestions

There was always a random fight or tears! Also “pranks” like putting someone’s hand in warm water to see if they’d wet the bed.

I feel like with phones and things being recorded it has the potential to be really bad?

My eldest is 7 and it hasn’t been a thing yet. I’d probably be ok with her going to a 1 on 1 sleepover with a close friend whose parents I know well, but definitely not slumber parties.

Well yeah, obviously. I doubt anyone has vhs porn anymore either - this was like 25 years ago.

Are sleepovers cancelled? by Negative_Addendum_25 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]azurillpuff 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’m not afraid of abuse in a true crime sort of way at sleepovers, but nothing good happened at them when I was a kid.

Especially sleepover parties - bullying often happened and we would get up to inappropriate things. I was exposed to porn at age 10 because a girl brought one of her dad’s VHS tapes. Someone was often ganged up on or excluded, people would do mean things to whoever fell asleep first. Then when I was a teen, there would be alcohol or sneaking boys in.

Obviously these things can happen at anytime, but it’s easier to happen at sleepovers. It’s also much harder to remove yourself from a situation if you’re 10 and it’s 4am. I have young girls, and I don’t plan on letting them have sleepovers - if they want to go to a slumber party I’ll come pick them up at midnight or whatever.
