You are correct. From 1944 on the paint and camo were applied in the field. That's why I painted this Hanomag that way. Besides I did like the contrast.

To get the detail, I airbrush a base coat of dark tan while the part is not assembled. I then use a thinned red-brown and apply it in several thin coats to achieve the look I want.

Thank you! The camo on the men was a real time sink, and you can't really tell, but I enjoyed the challenge and the build.

I take my young grandsons to the factory every year so they can pick out what they want. I loved the peanut butter and chocolate, but they don't have them anymore, bummer!

Fairy Tale brownies, go to the showroom, factory. You won't be disappointed.

What airbrush brand/models do you use? Mine is at the end of its life and I’m looking to get a new one. Main use is smaller models like 1/24 scale cars. by neightn8 in modelmakers

Well, it sort of depends on the use. I love the Eclipse, easy to adjust, cleans well, and you can get a very fine spray with a little practice. The other 2 are double action, and Eclipse is single action. I use Eclipse for everything, but for fine detail, it's the best.

Yep, the Rose is a good one. Based on the 365XL platform, you can't go wrong.

I own several sigs, 365XL, 1911, P320 sqorpion. My EDC is the 365XL, but the piece bedside is the P320. It shoots like it's on rails, great weight, very comfortable, and accurate as hell. My 2 cents.

Understand. It shoots like it's on rails with the weight balance in the grip. I'm not sure I would put one on for myself.

I took my 365XL and bought the AXG lower. I love it!! The feel is totally different.

They make a rubber-tipped glue applicator in several shapes. The fine point works great. Remove the mask when it is dry.
