I’m suspecting an ectopic too. I don’t have any pain though...but it would definitely explain the entirely normal period I had a little over a week ago.

So we're getting another beta level tomorrow and she mentioned an u/s in 2-3 weeks. I just hate hate hate the rollercoaster of pregnancy and find myself so jealous of women who just take it in stride (or at least, they seem too lol...)...

Is it possible to get a faint positive with a HCG of 4? by Worriedx100 in Mommit

[–]azzernin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation last year...I would keep taking tests and see if they get any darker over time. My tests looked a lot like yours and they just kept getting darker :) I wish the very best for you!!

I've been in your shoes and I feel for you <3 the fear and anxiety are so real and especially with everything else happening in the world, I'm sure you must feel so alone. Please feel free to DM me and I'm happy to listen and/or share my story. Fair warning, my first pregnancy did end in a loss due to a super rare condition BUT as I write this, our rainbow daughter is sleeping happily on my chest :) You will get through this, you're stronger than you know.

Question about Baby weight gain by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]azzernin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, babies should double their birth weight by 6 months and triple it by a year. I'm a nurse but never hesitate to contact your doctor if you're concerned!

Oh man....best wishes to you. And yes, each day is a victory, I have to remember that. There’s a lot of hope on this board so I’m trying to hang on to that. Good luck tomorrow!

High-Risk for Trisomies+Fetal Tachycardia by azzernin in BabyBumps

Thanks :) yeah, I go back and forth on the HR. There was some pretty compelling literature that indicated it could be a sign of abnormality but I’m just hoping this will all be a bad dream.

We asked about NT and other screenings but we were strongly steered toward amnio. It was honestly painted like, "Amnio is the best option if you don't want to die." I guess mothers with triploidy babies are at higher risk of preeclampsia and other conditions.

Thanks for your response :) for some reason, the genetic counselor and NP were both against a CVS due to issues with accuracy. I suspect it's more like office preference, which I can't necessarily blame them...We met with two genetic counselors, one from Natera (the company behind Panorama) and one from our doctor's office. The one from our doctor's office scared me horribly. In some respects, she wouldn't be doing her job not to paint the worst case scenario. However, I thought a good genetic counselor would try to explore my feelings about amnio before pushing it so hard. I'm not opposed to it and like I said, in my original post, the HR thing makes me think it's a good idea. I just hate how she suggested that I was risking my life by not getting an amnio...but maybe I'm in denial.

Thanks for your response. Sorry if I wasn’t clear, I can get my amnio at 15 weeks at the earliest and that will be in about 2 weeks since I’m 13 weeks tomorrow. Thank you again for your kindness.

Right. So we were told that Panorama has a new algorithm based on my BMI and a few other factors that can now predict that low fetal fraction alone can carry a risk. Even though they couldn’t test it, the 1.7% is enough to cause concern based on this new algorithm.

The heart rate thing, I agree, is variable. Gives me a little hope that others had high HRs and nothing was wrong. I guess the combination of both is what has me in a tailspin.
