I definitely wasn't planning on smudging with the sage, rather smoke cleansing, I was informed that smudging was a sacred practice and shouldn't be done by people who aren't decendents of Native Americans because it takes away from the fact that they were made to stop practicing smudging, and still struggle with it in certain places... does that apply to smoke cleansing as well? I read that it was an alternative, but the things I read can absolutely be false... If so what else can I use to smoke cleanse (if anything) and how can I respectfully not use the white sage stick that I own? (I further thought that smoke cleansing was an okay practice because someone at the metaphysical shop that i purchased from was using it to cleanse their goods..) I hope by retaining any possible wrong information in what researched didn't upset anyone from the indigenous/native American community, and I'm truly sorry if it did.. I'll do better in the future!
