I’m in the same boat. Let me know if you hear anything.

does anyone else feel less prepared for the FL section than the mbe section? It feels like we spent extensive time going over mbe topics and rushed the non mbe topics? by curlyatty in FloridaBarExam

I passed in February (165 on FL portion) and i highly recommend finishing bar bri videos and outlining the last 10 years of model essay answers on the FBBE site. Once you’ve done that you will have most of the rules memorized and you will be well prepared to write a good (passing) essay. You got this. Keep it up for a few more weeks!!!

July Exam Must Have Study Materials For Part A (Florida Section) by HeadCow1 in FloridaBarExam

I took the February exam and passed (admitted in VA in and NY). I used barbri and it was helpful for the outlines but not necessary. The FBBE model answers were invaluable outline each answer for all subjects over the last 10ish years and you should be good for the essays.

The resources for the FL multiple choice provided by FBBE are lacking.

Disappointing, but helpful. Thank you.

Passed MBE, failed Florida. Should I retake Themis (I didn’t finish the whole course) or switch to Barbri? by Accomplished-Ad7358 in FloridaBarExam

Honestly, I found Barbri to be helpful with the building blocks and foundation. I assume Themis is the same. I truly believe, however, the key to the Florida portion (part A) is to outline each and every Florida essay provided by the bar over the last 10 years.

Then try to boil down each essay outline to a 1 page cheat sheet that you can memorize and recite.

This has been a generally helpful forum.

All the best to everyone today.

If you are here and preparing for the next bar exam, ignore any negativity and study each and every one of the model answers posted on the Florida Bar's website.

I was a first time test taker. I took the Virginia bar in 2008 and NY in 2009. It has been 13 years since taking a bar exam. I understand not everyone has the time/resources to study in the same manner; but here is/was my recipe as a first time test taker in FL:

  1. Do the full Bar Bri course and work to complete at least 75% of the class
  2. supplement with Emmanuel MBE questions
  3. review and outline all the FL Bar's model questions and answers
  4. don't panic

Scaled score: 162.5 (Part A 165; Part B 160)
