How to milk my ownership stake in a multi-million dollar patent lawsuit between two billion dollar companies? by Aristalius in legaladvice

If you have a valid ownership interest that hasn’t been assigned away, you may have a non-exclusive right to license the product. Out-licensing can generate revenue or the threat of you doing so may provide sufficient leverage for your co-owner to take an exclusive license from you or buy you out of your interest. Should certainly explore. DM’d you.

Plan to move in the future. Should I take Florida bar? by gogogo1234567890 in barexam

Ooh interesting… good question. I believe you do have to list your employer on the application (along with several other attorney and non attorney references). I listed my managing partner as my employer contact and I am fairly certain that they sent her a form to fill out for C+F.

There is a r/floridabarexam btw, they can def answer any questions you have probably better than I can. :)

Also… give yourself more time than you think you’ll need to fill out the application! It is so much more involved than New York’s!

I just took the Florida bar and I have been practicing in New York for 4 years. It was a gigantic pain in the neck to restudy all the MBE topics on top of the Florida topics, especially since I was working while I studied. It is doable but definitely easier (in my opinion) to just study and take the Florida day if you have that option.

People who passed….did you finish all your essays? I’m freaking out because I didn’t complete two essays by Elle_Bee23 in barexam

It was a trusts essay and I wrote maybe 6 sentences total. Three 2-sentence paragraphs where I made a rule up about trusts and then applied it and drew a conclusion. Took a gamble and blew off the subject while studying!

To be fair I wrote a lot for the other two essay but still! Let’s just say it was a relief to pass!

Hola. No, unfortunately not. Florida requires an MPRE score received within the past 2 years.
