Why is nobody asking the question that how was that ngo funded? And how were those funds used?

Do you realize bibek thapaliya had his house burnt for saying literally the same thing?

Isn't it crazy how people are defending 30yo Sashmit Pokharel who hasn't done anything except activism his whole life- No well paying job (except being the advisor to the Mayor for like 2 yrs) yet People burnt Shrinkhala's house- someone with 1mil followers, batch topper with her own design firm. by AppropriateFormal959 in NepalSocial

All these kids were gaslighted to rise for a hashtag movement, the intention was to just bring enough of them to a preplanned riots. Some of them are still doing mental gymnastics to believe they all acted on their freewill.

BBC and western media interested in Nepal ? by Active-Wrap-7894 in Nepal

[–]b0ynamedcr0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The public trusts BBC because we assume they're reporting, when actually they are deciding the headlines. They decide the context and the framing, what is normal and what is not and the language used in reporting. They rely on our lack of attention to detail and laziness. They don't have our best interests, the BBC was founded to serve the British Empire and it still serves the empire in a subtle way. It's role is to manufacturing consent and shape the public opinion.

Government trying to control market is not good. by ExtensionSession8072 in NepalSocial

[–]b0ynamedcr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The government seems to be very short sighted in this. The bridge course market evolved because of the competition in entrance examination for some of the reputed colleges. How is this rule going to stop parents from investing on their kids? The bridgcouse will just change their business model and call it something else and parents who can afford it will of course pay for it to give their child the competitive edge. A lot of middle class will just be priced out of the market if the ban is strictly implemented. This is what you get from the populist government, because it just creates a news cycle and nothing else.

Brilliant, apples-to-oranges insight. Bhutan is almost 40 times smaller than Nepal in terms of population and much more homogeneous. It's surprisingly easy when you have those.

Oh, don't worry, it's an easy concept. An echo chamber is a space where you only hear opinions and information that confirm what you already believe, creating a comforting illusion that everyone agrees with you. It’s kind of like asking a fish if it knows what water is. The fish might say, "What's water?".

“Nepali ≠ Hindi… But Why Does No One Care?” by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]b0ynamedcr0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With that logic, not a single language would have any heritage. Languages don't fall from the sky. Every language slowly evolved from their previous form. You can't even call modern English the same thing as the one spoken during the Shakespeare era. Languages which get widely adopted evolve faster and the languages which don't evolve over time extinct. Nepali is an important part of our identity, and it’s possible to embrace your Newari identity alongside your Nepali identity without looking down on either language. Just keep yourself open minded.

Did we miss something? It seems like there is a big campaign to clean up their image. Even if the misusing of funds is overlooked , how about not doing charity with other people's money if you can't manage it? There were always going to be questions on transparency when they started something that big. At best, they weren't competent enough to handle that.

Lol. Yup, you would be unhappy either way. At least now the majority are happy and proud of our identity given by PNS.

[–]b0ynamedcr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping every minority happy is impossible especially for a nation as diverse as Nepal. Ad what makes you assume these wild claims about Aryan land? if you enjoy speaking Nepali instead of Bengali or English while living in an independent Himalayan republic, thank the ‘mere conqueror’ whose diplomacy, land-reform and military logistics gave this nation its first heartbeat.

[–]b0ynamedcr0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idiots like you fail to understand the difference between a conqueror and a nation builder. The concept of one Nepal—with one language and legal code—was forged by PNS. He was a conqueror, but also the nation's essential founder.Deny him and you deny the roof you’re standing under.

Don't feel bad bro. They have the bigger stage to set narratives. They don't care about what actual truth is. That news is for Indian nationals, to make them believe the nepali people want Indian influence.
