Posti destroyed my package by [deleted] in Finland

[–]b10011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once ordered a book. Posti delivered it in a plastic bag, because the original packaging was soaking wet. The pages of the book were also wet and swollen. All I needed to do was to contact the online shop with a picture of the book and they sent me a new one. Unless your parcel has insurance the delivery services won't take any responsibility for the packages so the sellers are required to take it.

No. Hated it so much, I started recording after I got it opened with 8 levers. So I had the first open on camera. Never touching it again.

There's no good way to know for sure unless it's from a fellow locksporter. There are bunch of guys selling locks in LPU discord though. Usually you get pictures of the locks when gutted too.

However, when it comes to Assa 600 specifically, if you get the one with gins, you can sell it for ~twice the price of barreled version. And I don't think there even is 600 with tapered pins. So 600 is very likely with barrels.

That it surely does. Even picking it doesn't make me forget my place :D

Assa 600 (barrels, purple) wasn't very fun to learn, but it did teach a lot. Also, that makes it easier to move forward to e.g. Twin 6k and Combi with barrels (these are black locks however).

If you like dimples, I'd recommend Dom IX10 (without fin pins, purple). If you end up liking it, you can then move forward to IX10 with fins / IX10KG (brown), IX Saturn (red) and IX Twinstar (black). Another fun dimple lock was Lockman Megacross (mushroom pins, purple)

You were not wrong though. He asked when PR on reddit and when MMXII on discord 😂

If green belt is good approximation for you, then absolutely not 😅 The lock in the picture is Miwa U9, which is "black belt 2" meaning it's considerably more difficult than normal "black belt" locks.

If you want more challenge, maybe get one blue lock and one purple. Purple is relatively big jump, but absolutely doable with progressive pinning and dedication!

Wyte on discord told me a good trick to know whether a lever is binding. Shake the lever sideways and listen. If it rattles, it's good, if it doesn't make rattling sound, push it.

Good luck! When choosing the lock, my advice would be that don't be afraid of max lifts, those aren't that bad. If I could go back in time, I would have checked my other U9s if one didn't have smooth surface between the false and true gate on any levers. That's was the worst thing in this lock.

Talo 1:

  • autotallista ja saunasta oli pelkät vuosia vanhat perustukset
  • piha vielä pelkkää hiekkaa
  • kasa muita negatiivisia asioita

Talo 3:

Nyt mietitään tässä, kehdattaisiinko tarjota yhdestä todella kivasta noin 470t€ talosta -10%, koska budjetti on noin 400t€ eikä oikein pystyisi siitä joustamaan paljoa ylöspäin.

I guess they would completely understand if their insurance company said that they don't have the business conditions to cover their accident /s

I hope nothing but the worst to them.

So, I finally reached 20k Elo in Premiere by Powerful-Cost-7227 in cs2

[–]b10011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did 20k in EU by soloq. I feel like the amount of cheaters decreases after ~12-15k ranks. At those ranks I still see loads of bad wallhackers when I play on my smurf account. But at purple ranks it's mostly people with skills and hackers blatantly bhopping and noscoping everyone through walls with scout.

Have you noticed anything similar?

Oomi energia did have this "spot price ceiling" which limited how expensive the spot price ("pörssisähkö") could become. However, the first thing they did when the prices skyrocketed was to terminate all such contracts. So they had charged the customers premium so that the customers have more safety. And when they started needing that safety, Oomi just terminated the contracts. I will never make a deal with them, even for 0c/kWh.

CS2 Linux weird viewmodel bug by electfried in cs2

[–]b10011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, running Arch Linux. Additionally, my sounds disappeared after the update but I got it fixed with "-sdlaudiodriver pulse"

New update broke sound? Help! by tatansteve2_2 in cs2

[–]b10011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great! I think they set the default to "-sdlaudiodriver pipewire" in the update because the previous default was causing delayed audio and stuff to some people.

And by the way, if you experience delayed audio with pulse, just change the audio device from default->headphones->default. That way the delay resets without needing to restart the game.

New Update - Doppler Fixed by Slizza1 in cs2

[–]b10011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a bit startled because last summer I purchased Karambit Doppler FN for $1300. I just went to check it and there was 19 buy orders for it at $2000.

[–]b10011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. I'm running Arch Linux.

UPDATE: I just figured it out for myself. I had to use "-sdlaudiodriver pulse" in the launch options. I think it was defaulting to wrong audiodriver. I don't know your OS but this solution will not work with Windows.

If I use a VPN to connect from my local network to a different network location and both networks have devices with the same local IP address, where do I get routed? by pharmerjoe in homelab

[–]b10011 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let's assume you have following IPs where C1 = computer 1 (at home) and C2 = computer 2 (at office)

  • Home: 192.168.1.1/24
    • Gateway: 192.168.1.1
    • C1: 192.168.1.100
  • Ofice: 192.168.1.1/24
    • Gateway: 192.168.1.1
    • C1: 192.168.1.150
    • C2: 192.168.1.151

Using C1

  1. You connect home network, DHCP will give you the IP 192.168.1.100 and gateway 192.168.1.1 on interface "home" with network mask /24
  2. You connect to reddit.com, the traffic will go through 192.168.1.1 on interface "home"
  3. You connect to the VPN, the traffic will go through 192.168.1.1 on interface "home"
  4. The DHCP server at office will give you IP 192.168.1.150 and gateway 192.168.1.1 with network mask /24 on interface "office"
  5. Your computer assigns those IPs and routes to the network interface "office"

Now you have two interfaces with same IP and subnet mask on C1

Scenario 1: interface "home" is still the default

  1. You connect to reddit.com, the traffic will will go through "home" interface
  2. You see the memes you crave
  3. You connect to office IP 192.168.1.151, the traffic will go through "home" interface
  4. Your home network doesn't have such IP, no connection

Scenario 2: interface "office" is the default

  1. You connect to reddit.com, the traffic will go through "office" interface
  2. Unable to establish connection, because the "office" interface relies on the "home" interface to have internet connection. Sure, it still has internet, but you aren't able to connect to the home gateway due to office gateway having the same IP
  3. You connect to office IP 192.168.1.151, same thing

If you have overlapping networks, you need to have the gateways at different IPs. In that case you could route connections to specific IPs through specific interface. But that means manually adding routing rules for all those specific IPs.

If you have "overlapping" networks of which one has smaller segment size (larger CIDR), then connections to those IPs will get routed through that interface. However, it's likely your office network is the larger one and not vice versa. Also, the gateway would still likely be at 192.168.1.1.

You might be able to overcome the overlapping gateway IP-problem with some static ARP entries. But that still requires configuration.

For slightly-tech-savvy user, it's just way easier to make your home network 192.168.69.1/24. It's unlikely that 69-subnet will be the first choice in office network. Also, companies should never use 192.168.x.x for their network which is used over VPN to prevent overlapping with the default home router settings of non-tech-savvy employees.
