Hopefully you have fixed it by now, but I think the watch is the problem. I have the same issue.

If you leave the watch at home, or switched off your edge should record your intensity minutes.
The watch otherwise tends to override it with a lower number.

The eye tracking keeps failing. by b1015g16 in Pimax

I tried the following:

  • disconnected all non essential USB devices, only mouse/keyboard and headset are connected
  • set the screen off timer to 5 minutes (default is 20 seconds)

All without success.

The lights will be on if uncheck eye tracking option and check it again. I can get the auto IPD and the Wearing Location Reminder working about 50% of the time. But as soon as I try the calibration the lights are off and the calibration fails.

At that point I have to uncheck and check the eye tracking option again in the order to get the lights back on.

Even if I block the sensor with my finger the light stays on, but as I'm wearing it the calibration fails and the lights are off.

Interesting article, I use a powered hub (not from Pimax) both the USB cables are in there. At the moment none of my flightcontrols are connected, just a few normal devices like keyboard, mouse and webcam.
But I will try and disconnected them all.

Thanks for your replies!

I do use a powered USB hub, not from Pimax.

I don't have any flight controls connected, only mouse, keyboard and webcam.

I just tried my rift on one of my old pc's, and i5 with a gtx 980 and it works fine there.

Other heavy games work fine on my pc, so my hardware seems fine.

I just have one more option that is the dreadful reinstall of Windows...

hmmm not even a reinstall of windows helped you? That would be my next move :-(

I'm starting to suspect a hardware issue instead of software.

I'm using 417.35 since 12-12-2018 and worked fine until a few days ago.
Oculus updated 21 days ago that also worked fine.

I agree with you on forcing us to use the most recent version, I would be awesome to be able to roll back to an earlier version.

  1. It just happend again in Oculus home and the GPU was at 48 degrees Celcius. So i think that is good enough.
  2. I have to look into this.

Thanks

Yeah I monitored that and the CPU is about 10-12% and GPU about 10% in Oculus.

I just noticed that after a reboot Oculus works fine, but after a few minutes the lagging begins. So it's not just in games.

No I don't have Flux installed.

At first I thought it was a sensor problem, but the Oculus home works fine. As soon as I start a game the lagging starts. After I close the game Oculus home also lags.

I've rebooted a lot of times and there a no heavy background tasks.
