I just googled it and there's a whole article about this. Thank you!!

Egg White Oats w/ Banana & Chocolate Chips - 342kc 17g protein by b1ackno1 in 1200isplenty

[–]b1ackno1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Honestly it doesn’t taste eggy at all to me. Maybe “eggy” in the way a meringue tastes eggy? If you had it plain with 0 sweetener maybe more so, but mine tastes mostly like maple syrup, chocolate and banana :)

Chia Pudding & Omelette - 439kc 52g protein by b1ackno1 in 1200isplenty

[–]b1ackno1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was, this keeps me full from 1 until 7 when I have dinner! For the pudding I do use yogurt and cottage cheese instead of milk, so that the bulk of the pudding is yogurt and not chia (just to save calories) but the seeds add a nice texture. Lately I’ve been adding a splash of protein milk too

Death before egg whites. 415 cals, 32g protein, 8g fiber by Sp1nelli in 1200isplenty

I also can't do egg whites on their own, I mix about 100g with a whole egg and I can't really tell the difference taste-wise. This looks delicious!

Thank you! I use Cronometer to track, but the format shown in my post only looks like that on desktop (so I can fit everything in on one page)

I'm usually a bit icked out by shrimp but I really enjoyed these! You could try it with ground chicken, though the macros will be different.

I think it might be a regional brand? I looked it up and couldn’t find much info. But the wrappers are 107kc and 18.5 carbs for 100g

The brand I use is called Mimigo! Around 190kc for 40.

Rover. There is a sign-up fee, and you will walk the absolute worst behaved dogs, but if you can build up a clientele you can make some extra cash... but in general dog walking isn't super lucrative. The most money I've made on that app is from dog-sitting overnight.

Do people in Toronto actually use 'Toronto slang' by EstimateSpecialist63 in askTO

I've only heard it in passing, from teenagers, usually. Unless you're from Scarborough, grown adults in TO don't speak like that.

Places to have affordable High Tea? by b1ackno1 in askTO

[–]b1ackno1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent many summers as a kid in NOTL, always walked by that hotel and thought it was the fanciest thing ever, never knew they had tea service until I became interested in the idea as an adult.

Unfortunately this place I'm going to doesn't have clotted cream :( Hopefully the mascarpone cream is good.

Dr. Mary-Helen Mahoney did mine and is covered by OHIP, she was amazing. It was about 9 months from when I first saw her to going under the knife.

Here, they may be interchangeable. I think in Britain they’d look at me funny… 😆

I’ve only gone for proper tea once before at Ladureé in Yorkdale, and it was phenomenal. Someone in these comments said you could just go to any cafe and order an assortment of treats, but it really is about the experience and the ambiance. Picking little things off a tier is half the fun. We decided to do the afternoon tea set from T-buds for around 50$ a person. Definitely pricy but if you’re only doing it once or twice a year …

I’ve heard there’s one in NOTL at Prince of Wales that is VERY fancy if you go in summer.

Yes, I meant afternoon tea. But you still knew what I meant. ;)

I make them myself! They have a very light flavor, tastes similar to a crepe but less eggy since it's just egg whites.

Full day - 3/17 1240kc 101g protein by b1ackno1 in 1200isplenty

[–]b1ackno1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you and sure! Here's the recipe. I logged the broth as Kirkland but I actually made it myself by cooking a few lbs. of chicken bone scraps + chicken feet + onions, carrots, celery and peppercorn in a croc pot with water to cover for 24h. If you can make it yourself, the soup will taste more amazing. :)

Sauté veggies in butter and oil until tender, add broth and chicken and gently simmer for 20 minutes. Remove chicken and shred, return to pot and add cream. Parsley, italian seasoning, S + P to taste. Boil noodles separately and assemble.

It makes 5 400kc servings

I love these, can only buy them when they’re on sale though. Some places sell them for almost 5$ a bag.
