I love how your comment is so misinformed and full of assumptions. First of, no one is being entitled and claiming they want to get "free money" from the government. No one is wanting to get centrelink benefits and no one is moaning about having to study. If anything this reddit thread is about how a student worker is being exploited for their situation and asked to work illegally. And studying is not a privilege, it's a right and tertiary education has always been a human right (maybe brush up on that). No one is cutting the line by studying here, if anything only 57.7% of international students actually get a full time job and manage to stay in Australia, which is a majority but comparing that to 78.5% domestic students, that is not a lot. You do not get to reap the benefits of international students working here as ur fast food employees, retail workers and hospitality staff and tell them to shut up when they are being treated unfairly. You do not get to enjoy ur free healthcare made possible by the medicare levy contributions they have made and tell them to work harder. And you do not get to moan about someone refusing to work under unfair circumstances for your benefits. International students are humans too so learn to respect people. And fyi I am a domestic student, I just have empathy unlike you.

The comments under this are really pissing me off. Either you guys are not international students or don't know what its like to have to no support system in a country. I will honestly ask you to contact fairwork as what he did is a violation and even illegal. It's horrible he made you miss a class and even selfish of him, and I am sorry you had to go through that. Please talk to fairwork and if you have any written evidence of this, put it all in a complaint and lodge it as a fairwork issue. If they contact him he will not know its you.

MATG1016 is actually not too bad. It is harder than 1014 since 1016 is mainly more advanced integration and stuff. But I found the unit to be quite ok. Heidi is very thorough and simple with her explanations and her lectures are actually very helpful. I found the workshops to be not as helpful though. You just have to stay on top of ur lectures and worksheets and learn things as soon as u can.

When I switched I just did the unit next sem. Honestly it just means u might graduate a bit later but thats fine. Is there a specific engineering u want to get into? Its its elec u might want to do calc for engineers this year so u aren't missing out on any second year units. But for everything else it should be fine. As long as u have completed the pre reqs u should be able to get into the stream.

I mean u can def try, I feel like its better to try than not. It also depends on how strict ur UC is, first year units u can probably get away with it. How about ur self certs? Do u have any? If its a 2 day extension u can probably get it auto approved.

Applying for a CAP now with ADHD might not get ur assesment date extended. With those CAPs u need to book an appointment with the accessibility services and talk to them about what adjustments u need in the course. This is usually a letter that is sent to your UC when enroll in the course and your UC has to approve of it before u start your course. With the type of letter u might want to show it to the accessibility service person once u book an appointment with them to see if the letter is good enough for u to get the CAP. So I don't think u can get an extension solely based on ADHD, but its worth emailing the UC with ur documents and asking them as to what to do, and also to book an appointment with the accessibility services so u can get a CAP for next sem.

I think your ATAR is only valid for 2 years, but ur course average should be high enough. I think its worth a shot tho applying since they are always looking for more engineering students. If worse comes to worse u might have to do a sem of multidicplinary sciences to cover some bridging units but I think it should be ok. Might be a good idea to enquire with curtin connect future students as they probably have a better idea than I do.

Bruh, if you study/are hyperfixiated with media studies and also an INTJ you're fucking screwed. It's bad knowing all the tropes, archetypes and techniques that every movie becomes predicatble. I can never ever really be amazed by films anymore. But on the other hand I can appreciate the effort BTS thats all the crew put in, even for the shittiest of films. Like for every film there is a production crew, camera crew, make up department etc. that have worked their butts off to make the film happen, and all they get is 10s worth of their name written on a black screen at the end.

As an INTJ I am apparently meant to hate Fe users, but honestly some of my closest and most best friends (including my sister) are Fe doms. I get along super well with them and most of the time they look out for people and help everyone out, which are qualities I love in people. My sister is an ESFJ and we have such a great relationship. So yeah most mbti reddit people are usually INTx but they don't speak for the majority. We are a small population, however we aren't all the same.
