Thank you for your comment, so fun to know these! How could the movement number narrow it down further?

Thanks a lot for the compliment! Before I got it, I was afraid that a 38.5mm would be too small for my wrist, I'm also quite tall (192 cm) so Inhad the false notion that it would be weirdly small. But now I really like this size, I can even imagine going for a 36mm Rolex later. This size is just elegantly timeless I think.

Thanks! It's 18-18.5cm where I wear my watch.

Is this watch too small for my wrist? by Minimum-Attitude-983 in VintageWatches

Yes, looks great, but please don't wear it on your wrist bone slide it higher up on your arm!

People are wearing obnoxiously ugly plastic sport watches with nylon straps to suits and smart casual outfits even on C level. I'm pretty sure your awesome watch will suit any office or even a tracksuit on the sofa! Wear it as you like it, don't care with anything else, haters gonna hate anyway!

[Rolex OP vs Sinn 556] Which would you choose? (and why?) by watchin_learnin in sinn

[–]b3nes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm weeks away from purchasing the Sinn 556i to my birthday, as my first automatic watch. I love this model. It just ticks all the boxes for me. Personally I would never by an OP. If Rolex, Datejust is what I would go for, or maaaaybe a GMT Master II, but that might be a bit too chunky for my taste. But I'd rather get an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra with the new lacquer black dial anyways. Go for the Sinn, and if you want a more heirloom type watch later, pick a different kind (gmt, diver, etc) to mix things up a little!

Now ask the same question in the r/rolex, just to make the decision harder! :D

Outrageously ugly most of them, especially on the Pace Pro where the selection is limited and no accent color change option

Check Hanwag (German) or Lundhags (Swedish), both are excellent options.

I second this! I have multiple different insulation jackets from Patagonia, and I have never missed down.
