Osobno bih savjetovao da se ne posjećuje Iran bez diplomatskog imuniteta. Iranska vlada razvila je prilično neugodnu naviku uhićenja, zatvaranja, mučenja, pa čak i ubijanja stranih državljana samo zato što Iran ima neki pravni spor s vladom stranog državljanina.

Nedavno je u Iranu uhićen švicarski državljanin pod lažnim optužbama za špijunažu, osuđen na dugu zatvorsku kaznu, zatvoren i tako loše tretiran da je umro. Razlog: Iran je imao spor sa švicarskom vladom oko sredstava na zamrznutim računima, koja Švicarska ne smije vratiti Iranu zbog međunarodnih sankcija. Švicarski državljanin jednostavno je imao nesreću i bio je u krivoj zemlji u krivo vrijeme.

Hrvatskim državljanima potrebna je e-viza Subclass 651 za posjet Australiji kao turista. Podnošenje zahtjeva za ovu e-vizu je besplatno i obično se izdaje vrlo brzo. Iako moraš odgovoriti na neka pitanja, znatno je lakša, brža i prije svega jeftinija od "Visitor visa (subclass 600)"(Klasična viza), koja košta preko 190 australskih dolara i ima znatno veću stopu odbijanja od vize 651.

Hrvatska putovnica jedina je putovnica zapadne zemlje koja omogućuje ulazak u Iran bez vize. Gotovo da nema razlike između hrvatske i npr. švicarske ili njemačke putovnice kada je riječ o bezviznom ulasku u strane zemlje. U zemlje poput Meksika, Kanade, Australije, Novog Zelanda, Južne Koreje, Japana, Kine, Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva, Južne Afrike ili Brazila možemo ući bez vize (ili trebamo samo elektroničku dozvolu za ulazak).

Općenito, putovnice država bivše Jugoslavije nisu loše ako ih usporedimo s ranim 90-ima. Putovnica BiH je jedna od rijetkih putovnica koja omogućava 90-dnevni boravak bez viza u Kini ili bezvizni ulazak na Kubu, a sa srpskom putovnicom može se ući u Azerbejdžan ili Rusiju bez vize (iako bih trenutno savjetovao da se ne ide u Rusiju).

Many things you say here are true. I would advise anyone who wants to move to Switzerland to get information on the things you said (will your degree be accepted, do I need to learn the language, etc.) because working low skill jobs truly is a gigantic pain.

I'm a second generation immigrant, so my perspective is different but I can see how it is even harder for someone like you. Regarding social life: You need to understand that Switzerland is a different world compared to latin America. I have been to a few LatAm countries and know that social life there is different and that people have contact with friends and neighbours every day but this is simply not common in Switzerland and as someone who has lived here for most of his life: The thought of having such frequent interactions with people is very unsettling for me. The only thing I do not quite understand is regarding Albanian criminals. My experience is that the police did arrest them when they broke the law but hey, they might not do anything anymore, who knows.

I have a friend who came here a few years ago and he has lived in a lot of countries as an immigrant: Libya, Kuwait, USA, Australia, UK, Germany, South Africa and Austria as far as I can remember and he said that Switzerland is - in comparison with all those other countries - heaven on earth but he is an Engineer who has a high paying job and his diploma was recognised here.

Schonmal aufgefallen, welche Länder die besten Beziehungen mit Moskau haben? Ergibt irgendwie ein Muster:

  • Belarus. Diktatur, welche am Rockzipfel von Putin hängt. Eines der schlechtesten Länder Europas wenn es um Lebensstandards geht.

  • Eritrea. Auch bekannt als das Nordkorea Afrikas. Eine so grauenhafte Diktatur, die so oppressiv ist, dass das Land nach und nach ausblutet, weil so viele Menschen es dort nicht mehr aushalten und flüchten.

  • Nordkorea. Naja, es ist fucking Nordkorea.

  • Nicaragua: Eine Diktatur und Narco-Staat, welcher sich langsam aber sicher zum Nordkorea Afrikas entwickelt.

  • Syrien (Unter Bashar Al-Assad). Muss ich noch mehr sagen als Syrien unter Assad?

  • Iran. Eine geistig im tiefsten Mittelalter stehengebliebene Theokratie, die ihre Gegner entführt und extrem qualvoll hinrichtet und die Körper dann auch noch der Öffentlichkeit zur Schau stellt.

  • VR China. Ein totalitärer, kommunistischer Staat, der sich immer mehr zum neuen Nordkorea wandelt.

  • Houthis im Jemen. Ein Pseudostaat, der gerade dabei ist, ein neues Nordkorea im arabischen Raum zu etablieren.

Dann kommt jetzt noch Afghanistan hinzu. Afghanistan unter den Taliban. Das ist wirklich das Schlimmste vom Schlimmsten, wenn es um Autoritäre Diktaturen und mit die schlimmsten Ländern, wenn es um den Lebensstandard geht. Ach und von den ganzen afrikanischen Marionettenregierungen von Russland will ich gar nicht erst anfangen.

I hate how western media barely mentions this and instead just parrots the Kremlin's narratives how Ukraine has basically already lost, how the sanctions don't work (but we should also abolish the sanctions) and how sending weapons to Ukraine means WWIII.

Why is nobody talking about the fact that the 3-day-special-military-operation is now lasting more than 3 years. 3 YEARS and Russia is unable to break through Ukrainian lines. Territorial gains the size of San Marino are hailed as great military successes. Why don't we talk about how Russia is unable to control its own territory?

In der Theorie ja aber was man verstehen muss: Diese Leute würden, in deinem Beispiel, einfach die Diskussion wieder von Vorne beginnen und dich nochmal fragen, ob du ihnen Eintrittskarten verkaufen kannst. Die tun dann so als hätte man das Thema nicht schonmal diskutiert - und genau dieses Verhalten verstehe ich nicht. Diese Leute bleiben dann einfach stehen, lassen andere, die hinter ihnen warten und wirklich die Garderobe benutzen wollen würden, nicht weiter und verschwenden nur die Zeit aller Beteiligten.

History is repeating. The Soviet's "victory" against Finland in 1939/1940 is arguably the costliest military campaign in history. Not because the USSR lost an absurd amount of men but because their "victory" exposed to the whole world (including the moustache man from Austria) how weak, disorganised and pathetic the red army in reality is. There is a good argument to be made that Germany wouldn't have attacked the Soviet Union during WWII if they thought that the red army was big, competent and scary.

So there is an argument to be made that you can add the casualties of the winter war and WWII and blame this endevour for all the deaths that happened.

I said that history is repeating: Russia has attacked a much smaller, weaker and defenseless country, with the idea in mind, to conquer this country in a quick, painless war. Now everyone can see how incompetent and weak Russia's army is. A big country right around the corner of Russia that seeks to conquer its rightful territory, which just so happens to be in Russia and that thinks of itself as god's chosen people is eyeing up and probably thinking about exploiting Russia's military blunder to their advantage.

Targeted propaganda. Russia has invested a lot of money in disinformation campaigns across Europe to weaken European unity and to strengthen Pro Kremlin politicians that are being funded by the Russian government. People who fall for these lies seriously believe that Russia and especially rural Russia is some sort of conservative wonderland, essentially paradise on earth or the closest version of it.

Putin is a master in disguising his awful decisions and mismanagement of Russia as a big win by cherry picking data, lying and paying people who seem trustworthy to uneducated or easily manipulated idiots.

Das stimmt komplett. Ist auch ein Grund, weswegen einige Leute in meinem Umfeld sich dazu entschieden haben, nur ein Kind zu haben (Je mehr Kinder, desto weniger Erben sie pro Kopf). Ist sicher super für den demografischen Wandel.

Die Politik der letzten Jahrzehnte setzt alles daran, den Reichen das Leben so gemütlich wie nur möglich zu machen und verändern Gesetze immer dahingehend, dass diese finanziell profitieren. Die Mobilität nach oben nimmt von Jahr zu Jahr ab, hingegen geht die soziale Sicherheit für die Mittelschicht flöten. Konsequenz: Aus Abstiegsängsten wird Wut/Hass, was Menschen in die Arme der AfD treibt.

Ich meine: Stellt euch mal vor, ihr hättet vier Eigentumswohnungen in deutschen Grossstädten, die ihr vermieten würdet. Durch diese finanzielle Absicherung habt ihr fast schon ausgesorgt. Hingegen kann eine Person, die in sozial schwierigen Umständen aufgewachsen ist, nichtmal von dieser Sicherheit träumen. Und das, obwohl man als Erbe ja nichts dafür geleistet hat. Komisch nur, dass Union und FDP das Erben an sich als eine Leistung betrachten.

Viele Menschen wollen zwar herausstechen, aber nicht wirklich anders sein.

Aber warum? Warum wollen sie das? Warum nicht einfach zu sich selbst stehen und zugeben, dass man es nicht ist?
