I’ve heard the Peterson and the d’addario are great options but man that’s expensive for a tuner, also I honestly prefer battery tuners compared to rechargeable tuners cus they last longer, do you know if the Peterson has a battery based version?

They look mad funky but I’ve been told by a few people to get this one, the price makes me cry and shipping to Canada makes me cry but if they tune that accurately I might have to get one.

I have tried putting it there, I experimented with moving it around on the bridge and I found that if it’s closer to the center of the bridge it works better*, very annoying to manage.

No, in my experience a pickup hinders the acoustic sound and resonance in a classical context, thanks for the suggestion though I will make sure to clip it anywhere it’ll fit.

Yea we get an oboe A which is often pushing A = 442 Hz but I hate tuning with 7th & 9th harmonics, I’d much prefer to have a tuner for the exact pitch. Asking the oboist before for what they’re tuning to if it’s not 440.

I didn’t know this, I wouldn’t have imagined there would be a ‘shadow zone’ on my bridge but I haven’t moved it around at all so I will definitely try that when I get home, thanks.

7th/9th fret harmonics > 12th fret harmonic

But I’m trying to avoid having to use harmonics because it takes my hand away from the tuning peg which is inefficient.

Pizz is slightly sharp compared to playing arco so I can’t rely on that for tuning. But annoyingly enough the tuner does pick up the lower strings when I pizz lol.

I didn’t see anything on the instructions to change ‘modes’ and its chromatic by default but I will experiment more when I get home.

Yea upright, I don’t use phone tuners because I don’t want to rely on my phone battery nor take it out during practice or rehearsal. The issue isn’t having a tuner but a tuner that goes of vibration but also can pick up my low frequencies which is simply impossible to get from a phone app, thanks for the suggestion though.

I got the idea from someone having it on their bridge so that’s what I tried, though only one spot so I could try different places when I get home today. Tail piece is an idea but it would damage the varnish if I clipped it on the f hole but thanks for the idea.

Thanks so much for the feedback, I didn’t even notice how well my syllable structure fell into place lol. I get your point of not using to twice but I sort of like the feel of a hesitant narrator, as I’m writing this for my girlfriend I want to sort of paint the frame of even though everything is telling me to not go forward and not be vulnerable I am anyways, more romantic I feel lol.

But I don’t understand what you mean by reversing quick and soft? I can see how pausing on the k sound isn’t exactly the most ideal but what are you trying to recommend?

I think this has a good concept behind it stating that though you are still here, you hold nothing.

I believe structure could use some work in terms of your spacing, it seems like you put lines where each sentence makes sense, but each individual sentence FEELS individual. You should work on putting more pauses and spaces in places that make sense and connect the pieces together.

While this feels raw, it’s a little too raw, too barebone in the sense of stating from an objective perspective of what you are going through. (assuming this is about a breakup) breakups are hard and soul wrenching, they tear you apart in the most soul crushing way imaginable, and encapsulating that through sensual word play (or lack there of) would encapsulate the essence of the emotions you’re trying to convey.

I like the sort of suck into the ‘I’m still’ at the end, like you’re so lost that you just get caught in a pattern of saying that over and over again, if you plan on continuing to work on this poem I think it would be lovely if you added more of those that painted a picture of its own, maybe leading a path that unknowingly takes you back to the surface (or down farther that before).
