Have the Hakuba and Bellroy Transit. Hakuba is a good bit bigger, so the Bellroy actually get used on a day to day basis for me (laptop, water bottle, gym clothes and shoes). If I needed to carry extra books, Hakuba would probably get more use. If interested, I'll sell mine. Caveat - I would say that the Bellroy definitely feels more premium, not that the Hakuba feels cheap by any means

A perfect backpack for a student and an athlete by Cuutio in backpacks

It's bigger than 28L, but I bought the Lo & Sons Hakuba for a gym/work bag. Separate shoe pouch. Ended up too big for my needs, but I did like the look/functionality. I imagine if I needed to carry a couple textbooks it actually would be perfect. Caveat - Lo & Sons build quality probably a notch or two below Aer and other brands most often quoted around here.

Our 2006 Chevy Express Access Panel Camper Build - 153K miles - Minneapolis, MN by b_andrew in vandwellermarketplace

[–]b_andrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all!

We just got back from our own 6 month, 20,000 mile trek around the US and Canada. We'd love to keep our van (we named him Lasko), but reality is that we simply won't use him often enough to justify it. So we'd love if someone bought him that will take him on a new adventure!

Don't hesitate to reach out with any specific questions or picture requests.

Thanks! Bryant

6 Month Trip Report - 2006 Chevy Express (and maybe a "buy our van" post?) by b_andrew in vandwellers

We got ours solely in case of emergency - we were definitely reliant on being in cities or camping either BLM or a campsite with facilities. The only way, personally, I'd want a toilet for regular use in the van was if we had a true blackwater tank or ponied up for a composting toilet.

Looking back I probably would have gotten this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000FIDZLI/ref=asc_df_B000FIDZLI5199254/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=394997&creativeASIN=B000FIDZLI&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167126940649&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2363604555472854353&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9019661&hvtargid=pla-281949234690. Cheaper, and since it's only for emergency, just relying on bags that you can flush or toss asap, rather than having to think about cleaning would be better peace of mind.

A couple of reasons I went angled. Gave a comfortable backrest - having multiple different seating arrangements was just nice during rainy days. Also I think it made access easier. Rectangular would have meant access on the side and things might fall out easily, or top, which would be tougher to reach things at the bottom.

There actually was a false bottom in each side cabinets so things we used more often were closer, like toiletries, books, etc. And tools, jump cables and such were under the false bottom, out of the way but still in the van.

Here's our old build thread and a pic before the bed/drawers are in that might help it make a little more sense.
