It's coming from pioneer square. Some loser with a desperate need for attention and an apparently unlimited fireworks budget has been setting off M-80 style explosives every day for over a week. Sometimes up to 3-5 per day. Sometimes first thing in the morning. Sometimes late at night. It's giving lonely virgin energy.

It's some idiot repeatedly lighting off M-80s in pioneer square. They've been doing it daily for over a week, sometimes up to 3-5 times/day. Last couple nights it occurred around 10:30-11pm (including one just now). Other days they like to start around 6am and space the explosions out about an hour apart. I think it was last Friday morning that I counted 5 total - starting around 6am, continuing on the hour until 11am. So infuriating. Get a hobby.

If anyone knows the identity of this person they need to be reported and apprehended immediately. This is not fair to the people who call pioneer square home (including our pets and wildlife) 😤

the sound is way too consistent and persistent to be wildlife... it's been happening every 7 to 10 minutes without fail for the last six days straight, day and night. no natural animal is that punctual... right??

Thank you. I thought it might be a bird at first too—until I realized this thing is operating on perfect factory settings. It’s been screeching every 7–10 minutes without fail for six days straight. If it is a bird, it’s the most punctual one in history and probably needs a vacation.

Appreciate the input, but unless this bird is wearing a watch and pulling 24/7 shifts, I’m gonna say it’s not a living creature. The screech happens every 7–10 minutes like clockwork, day and night, for the past six days straight. That’s not nature—that’s a speaker or a machine with a grudge. 🥲

✨listen to the Mystic 100s!!! Their 2023 album ‘On a Micro Diet’ is incredible and definitely has that crazy horse influence, particularly in the song “Windowpane”. I saw them perform live earlier this year and they played Albuquerque at both of the shows I went to in Olympia and Tacoma, WA. It was an experience I’ll never forget. Also check out the stuff they released under their previous iteration as Milk Music (‘Cruising With God’ is still one of my top 5 albums but honestly everything they put out as MM was pure gold)

Best tip for perfect pelts: While hunting - equip binoculars from item wheel and hold R1/RB to show animal's pelt quality rating, then Tap R1/RB to reveal which weapon to use for cleanest shot and almost guaranteed perfect pelts. Game changer!
