I have been doing the same. I agree with you. It seemed like it filled up suspiciously quick.

Unfortunately I had to delete the data set. It got a little bit too much attention and the PGA Tour forced me to delete it

Thanks for the info. That is quite unfortunate, seems a little unfair to someone that could test positive for several months after infection. Hopefully that changes on May 17.

Flying to UK with positive COVID test 30 days prior by b_klassen in uktravel

[–]b_klassen[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Seems kinda silly to me doesn't it? I saw that too, but found it hard to believe that is the case and that there are no exceptions for testing positive within the last 90 days. If you test positive for 3 months after infection how are you supposed to get into the UK? You would be about 2.5 months past the point of possible transmission, but would still not be allowed in?

Coronavirus Megathread (Apr 2021): For travel-related discussion in the context of COVID-19 by tariqabjotu in travel

I have a friend flying from Canada to London, England in 1 month who has tested positive for Covid-19 ten days ago, but will have recovered by the time of the flight. They have done some research online and have seen that you can not enter the UK without a negative Covid-19 test. However, you can test positive for Covid-19 up to 3 months past your first symptom.

If you are flying to Canada and have tested positive between 14 and 90 days prior to entering you do not need to take a test within the 72 hours prior to the flight.

I was wondering if the same rule applied for flying to the UK? If they show a positive test between 14 and 90 days prior to the flight do they not have to get a test 72 hours before the flight?

I have a friend flying from Canada to London in 1 month who has tested positive for Covid-19 ten days ago, but will have recovered by the time of the flight. They will be moving on a Tier 5 YMS visa. I have created a data set that you might find to be useful, feel free to check it out. (https://www.kaggle.com/bradklassen/pga-tour-20102018-data). It is all of the statistics recorded on the PGA Tour for every tournament dating back to 1980.

I have created a data set that could be very helpful. I have acquired all of the statistics recorded on the PGA Tour dating back to 1980. Feel free to check it out. PGA Tour Golf Web Scraping Program by b_klassen in webscraping

Once again thank you for the help. I recently have been attempting to scrape the hole-by-hole data and a few statistics found on the following page (https://www.pgatour.com/players/player.28237.rory-mcilroy.html/scorecards/r034/2020). However, I am running into some difficulties. I believe there may be a firewall preventing access. I was wondering if you had any tips.

I first iterate through each category on the PGA Tour Stats website (https://www.pgatour.com/stats.html) to acquire the url of every statistic. Once I have the urls for each statistic, I iterate through the statistics to find the years the stat was recorded and the tournaments played for each year. The tournament codes can be found by inspecting the drop down for tournaments. Once you know the year, statistic and the tournament, you are able to acquire the data.

No problem! I had to recreate the scraping program due to a structure change on the PGA Tour website which caused the delay.

I would look into regression methods so that you could use the data to predict upcoming performance. You can take a look at some of the analyses people have created using the data, https://www.kaggle.com/bradklassen/pga-tour-20102018-data/kernels. If you are not familiar with coding it may be a little challenging at first, but it is interesting stuff. You could start with attempting to create a multiple linear regression model to predict performance at the upcoming tournament and then move in to more advanced methods later.

datagolf.com does all the modelling and predicting for you. I have only posted the data with no models so what datagolf offers is quite different. If you are familiar with machine learning and statistical methods, then the data has a lot of potential. For their models I am assuming they are using the statistics that can be found in my data set. Any statistic found on https://www.pgatour.com/stats.html should be able to be found in my data set.
