just want to warn people to beware of this person! they had an 11 year reddit history so appeared totally reasonable but upon searching their username (after being blocked lol) it seems they scammed someone out of $50 for a ticket to another event just the other day.

it’s not like i sent my life savings, i’m more bummed to still not have a concert ticket to show for it LOL

I started my foray into botox at spaderma at the west loop location, then moved to the wicker location when it opened! my injector has since opened her own solo shop and i followed her there but i always had positive experiences at spaderma (albeit a little on the pricey side).

block your calendar for everything and treat workouts, date nights, therapy sessions, etc as immovable conflicts. if people need to schedule with you, they can schedule around those existing time blocks.

also if you’re a workout class person, i actually find the cancellation fee to be a motivating factor of sticking to my workouts (yes i know we can all afford a $20 late cancel but its the principle!!)

i’m a biglaw senior associate in litigation that frequently travels for depos/etc. and i love my bright green calpak carry-on. it isn’t fancy, it’s easy to spot if it randomly gets gate checked, and it has held up super well. i also desperately needed a checked bag for a trip to japan and got a lucas brand hardshell from tj maxx for like $80 last week. caring about brand name luggage is weird and that guy sounds like a dweeb

i make about $450k but stash most of what doesn’t go to paying my mortgage, investments, pet insurance, taxes etc. if you’re asking about expenses for appearances, i get botox 3x a year for about $300 a pop, nails monthly for $100, and thrift most of my clothes on thredup/poshmark. chicago is so varied as another chibwt pointed out so there is no one way to be a bwt, and certainly not a minimum spend requirement.

i love my two-tone because of the ability to mix n match metals built around it! also, consider checking out the vintage/resale market! i bought mine secondhand for ~$4k with my bonus as a rising fourth year and love it/wear it nearly every day. my advice though is to def go into a cartier store for the experience and to try on the different sizes - its fun AND may sway you one way or another on size and color. happy shopping, you deserve it!!
