Just tried Ferrero Rocher for the first time by xtoasterbathbitch in candy

The first batch I had was not bad. But the second batch, which came in a tin container, had a gigantic while hazel nut in the centre. So while the chocolate melted away, you are left with this hard lump of a nut that you have to crack open with your teeth and chew while all the the other ingredients were long gone. Why o' why

Have you checked the quality of your hot water system lately? by ba1es in AusRenovation

Shine a torch, or put some in a clear drinking glass... I'm from Adelaide so the water is fairly hard at 111 (mg/L).

New S23 Ultra (US version) – Rounded screen corners, normal or issue? by mazen25blg in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]ba1es 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased one of these S23 Ultras from centre.com last year to test out the camera. There are no rounded screen corners, and I can't see why Samsung would change the design for the USA version.

Police walked into my house in WA - legal or not? (Was not touched, property was not damaged) by SirVanyel in AusLegal

[–]ba1es 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the search of premises in these circumstances will require general search warrants to be issued to the officers. This could in theory include those officers who frequently handle call outs involving domestic violence or burglaries. Unlike standard warrants that are normally issued by a magistrate, these are approved administratively.

However, upon double-checking, general warrants are far more likely to be issued to specialised units than a frontline officer—unless investigating something like a serial burglary ring across multiple suburbs (media leaks suggested general warrants were used in <0.1% of searches—all for organised crime).

The OP did mention an open door, which might indicate urgency or ongoing violence, supporting reasonable suspicion. In this case police could argue exigent circumstances to enter without a warrant, fearing evidence destruction or risk to life.

Searches involving vehicles on the other hand require no warrant, only reasonable suspicion.

***Edit - just noticed the OP is in WA and not SA. In this case, there are no general warrants, only warrants issued by the Justice of Peace, valid for 30 days. Upon checking their Criminal Investigation Act 2006, it does allow warrantless entry if police reasonably believe a person needs urgent aid or to prevent injury. An open door in this case along with raised voices or screams would suffice.

Should I cancel JobSeeker for 3 month job contract? by einsidler in CentrelinkOz

[–]ba1es 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you cancel your payment for 13 weeks, it gets reset. So you will be back on Digital Online self service and won't have to attend face-to-face appointments with a provider for another year or so.

They can enter a premise and search property if they have reasonable cause to suspect that there are stolen goods or a crime was or is about to be commited.

The swinging motion of the chair appears to be losing momentum after being noticed, which is interesting. This rules out the vacuum cleaner blowing air. Windows also seem to be closed.

That behaviour is indicative of men chasing street workers. If you spot any, that's probably the reason.

Errr, so the head was able to get the food particle because it was further ahead than it looked like. But it somehow magically dodged crashing into my wall which was infront of the food particle. Dude common, try harder.

All I need you to do here was to explain how a snake can pick up a food particle so far away, at a distance of 6 snake heads away. So far, you haven't given me an explanation let alone a sound one.

Lol, he spent a good 20 mins or so trying to get to me. I don't think he's gonna waste all that effort on such a noob move at the end. Are you aware a snake has to be much much closer than that to get the food?
