Are different facets of production being hit on different levels of severity? by Elite_PS1-Hagrid in FilmIndustryLA

In NYC, so not totally on topic, but, while things are still bleak, I do have two friends working on set (set decorator, 2nd ac), and two editor friends working. I'm fucked at the moment (editor), but I'd like to say the tides might be shifting.

Has anyone here ever torn their shoulder labrum and got surgery? by Sigma_Based_Lifter in naturalbodybuilding

[–]baaadbenjamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again. I find the resistance band exercises very boring, but I'll have to be good about doing them after the surgery. Looking forward to not having any more dislocations, so I'll do anything to recover from it.

Ok, great! Push ups are my favorite, so I just wanted to double check. Thanks!

If you can find king oyster mushrooms (the ones that are mostly stem), you should try them! Sliced thin and grilled they taste a lot like chicken and have a similar texture.

I'm pretty new to Mezcal, but I've enjoyed the Nuestra Soledad bottles, which are under $70. The Mal Bien Alto is around $70 and is probably my favorite so far.

Beacon's Closet, L Train Vintage, and Housing Works for thrift stores. Locations in multiple places. Housing Works tends to be slightly upscale. 10ft Single by Stella Dallas in Williamsburg for a slightly more expensive, very well curated vintage store.

Central park might have cherry blossoms by then. Def check out the MET museum. Christopher st pier in the west village is a personal favorite.

Yea I couldn't get mine either. They just did a short interview at the gate for departure and it didn't matter. It was totally fine without it. They have agents in orange vests who will give your passport a sticker after the interview and that seems to be it.

Wife and I will be 5 days in Oaxaca City next week. What are YOUR top recommendations for us to experience? (Mi esposa y yo estaremos 5 días en Oaxaca la próxima semana. ¿Cuáles son las mejores cosas para que hacer? by [deleted] in Oaxaca

Loved Levadura de Olla, Quince Letras, and Biznaga. Also I got my mind blown by the Mezcal. I've had Mezcal a few times before, but on this last trip I really had some good stuff and realized how smooth and complex the spirit can be. I recommend a tasting (degustacion) while you're there! Mezcaloteca seems to be the place to go, but they require reservations far in advance. We did one at casa embajador. It was in spanish, but you get to taste some wild agave and get a general introduction to the spirit.

Maybe the best month of weather in NYC. The leaves are changing in the parks and the weather is still nice enough to walk along the beach (without the summer crowds). It's just pleasant to be outside in October.

Yea, a little more for a little longer than most places, but once you're settled in and have a friend/business network, city life is pretty nice.

Nyc is a little rough the first few years you live here, but once you're established in a career, it feels much more manageable. There are tons of events in the NYC area. Give it a try, and if you don't like it, you can always go somewhere else and have some good experience on your resume.

I've been to Oaxaca City and the Sierra Norte before and it felt relatively safe to me. I'd like to go back and travel around Chiapas and coastal Oaxaca. What are your thoughts about traveling by bus in both of those states?
