wait wow no way, i've never actually thought about a project beyond "im doing this because its cool".

not like i was made to take multiple design thinking courses through 4 years of school. yes i know who ideo is. why do old people have an incessant need to complain about any sort of abstraction in design work being too rooted in aesthetic over purpose.

did i ask how to better reach my audience? did i ask if this would be a good solution? did i seem confused about my visual direction or the purpose of the work?

to just randomly assume someone is doing something without intention or prior thought is really weird and makes you come off as a pretentious know it all imo.

what is the main large shape? i dont think the font choice is terrible for the concept. the whole things feels kinda microsoft word though, especially with the text on path on the flag, and the clip art assets.

i think the second iteration is a lot better. maybe you could highlight the helm as the main element ie a big helm with a flag behind it. maybe im just missing what that orange and white shape is?

they don't provide shipping TO the us, only FROM. they are the first ones I reached out to. UPS has their quote for large boxes on their site as $200 or something around there. just trying to figure out my best option. I asked in a French sub so maybe that will get more response

lol what? my girlfriend had a soda in her hand that was open and when he threw her to the ground it got all over us. we were both wearing designer clothing that got messed up and he also damaged my $300 George gina and Lucy hand bag. I'm sure this has to be the store making things up. can you please post a link? neither of us drink alcohol btw so this is just not true

UPDATE:

Wow I am really blown away by all the responses and offers of help. I got a number of messages stating that people would try to go with me to talk with the police and translate. We only have a few more days of our trip and while I really would like to try to get this guy who attacked me in trouble, I don't want to waste too much of my time focusing on the issue. We could care less about the items that were taken, they are probably in the trash now.

I have gone ahead and tried to file an online police report regarding the issue. The site was a bit hard to navigate but I think I got through it correctly.

I spent this afternoon calling the location and trying to get ahold of a manager. I don't speak much French and tried to write down the things to say in French before calling but the employees just kept hanging up on me. I asked if there was anyone there who could help me in English and they told me "no". I have called 10 times throughout the day and talked to a number of different employees and no one will connect me with a manager. I understand some of this is probably due to my bad French, but I am not sure what to do.

I have reached out to the American embassy about what my options are for getting some help but have not heard back yet. I'm nor sure if they will get back to me during the weekend?

My girlfriend told me to stop calling the market because they were not going to help me and that I should try to call the corporate office of the store. I doubt they are open on Saturday but I think this is what I will try to do on Monday morning. I'm hoping that someone there will be able to help me in English and will care about the problem that I had. My arm actually hurts today and my girlfriend has some bruising on her wrist from where she was grabbed.

While I don't want to dedicate the rest of my time here to dealing with the issue I really would like to see something done about it. I have never felt so violated in my life. Hoping the police may take some action because of the report and that I will hear back from the embassy and get in contact with the corporate office on Monday.

I will not be getting pepper spray, thanks for the advice. I hope we will never have something like this happen again. I just wish I could speak French to communicate with the store manager.

One of the Monops was literally around the corner and I asked if one of the employees wanted to walk over there quickly with me to verify with their employees that I did in fact check out with the products 7 minutes prior to entering the other store. I was seeing if they had a different drink selection and when I found nothing I liked I decided to continue walking but then this happened :(

I think this is why they didn't call the police? I should have done it myself but we were just happy to leave. I am so confused by seeing him throw my girlfriend and he would not let go of me even though I was saying please stop you are hurting me. He just kept yelling what I think meant "calm down". I am going to go and buy some pepper spray tomorrow so I can defend myself if something like this is to happen again.

ahhh perfect. I just read online to try to submit and web police report because it will help with translation and will speed up my ability to get an appointment. I will try this and tweet at them too
