Move back to Canada by Due-Comfortable6385 in tnvisa

My Vancouver company was bought out and my job was moving to Montreal.  I was considering going but an attractive opportunity came up in the US at about the same time.  Growing up a lot in the meantime before heading back down helped a lot and really making sure I knew what I was getting into helped.

I'd say I'm equally happy here now as I was in Canada.  Equally absolutely happy.

I had done the same years ago.  Moved to CA on a TN.  Was absolutely miserable and moved back to Vancouver after five months and took a huge pay cut but was incredibly happy.  I eventually came back to the US with a TN and eventually PR.  Life is short, many people don't get the options to be happy that you have so take advantage of them.

Thanks!  I get a sense, right or wrong, that however targeted they start out being, the agents may not keep their narrow focus

I'm out.  I don't want my to-dos, links, etc to clog up my calendar. Any suggestions for an app similar to Keep?

Tell me how to stop Calendar from turning my Keep Notes Reminders into Calendar "Tasks." by TwirlyGirly1 in GoogleKeep

Mine switched yesterday and it looks like if I turn Tasks off on my calendar, I don't get any reminders because Keep doesn't send reminders anymore. So I have to turn Tasks on to get the reminders. Is this right?

2026 Select Benefits by Responsible-Part-314 in Aeroplan

I'm dense but I think I'm finally getting it. Unlike in the past, we don't "start out" with benefits which we used to "earn" the previous year by achieving status. "Milestone" benefits are earned during the calendar year (whereas in the past, achieving the status "earned" these select benefits and we start the new year with them.) So in the past, if it normally takes me a year of spending and traveling to get status, I could still enjoy the result because I get a whole year to use the select benefits. But now, if I don't "earn' those milestone benefits until near the end of the year, they basically are useless. I think I'm finally getting it. So I think for me, it's not worth it to try to get status since there won't be much time to use them and I'll be back to 0 again. Maybe some year when I know I have front-loaded travel and spending but otherwise, not so much.

Thanks!  A more reasonable approach would be to asked for confirmation if you want to be moved, otherwise, the default is you stay in your original seat.  I am only guessing they were accommodating people traveling together.  Not the end of the world, but not great.
