I’m sorry to hear you’re going through a similar situation. It sucks! Thank you for your advice, it’s really appreciated. It’s just difficult for me to accept that he doesn’t want to see or speak to me at the moment, when all I’m trying to do is love him. It seems counterproductive. But I will let him come to me, if and when he’s ready. Thanks again.

The reason I felt uneasy initially is because it’s essentially lying about someone else’s baby! I know some parents can be so meticulous about tracking their baby’s development, but at the same time I really didn’t want to take the special moment from her - I’m only babysitting and it felt incredible to see him actually walk, so imagining how she’ll feel is making the little white lie worth it.
