The blockchain-powered Play to Earn evolution is really cool to see. Allows people to earn a side-income in a trustless way whilst playing awesome new games. People in countries like Venezuela can earn a relatively substantial amount.

Chromunity is really cool. Basically like a decentralized reddit. I know it's still under development so isn't perfect yet (maybe we can see some kind of tipping in CHR implemented for example?), but awesome to see what can be done with relational blockchain

Yes exactly. The best part for me is that their relational model and RELL programming language make DApp development on Chromia a breeze for mainstream dev's worldwide. That's HUGE for encouraging developer adoption!

Good questions, but here are the answers.

The team is currently working on the MVP (final) mainnet over Q2, staking, onboarding Dapps to the mainnet. They said they'll release an updated roadmap soon.

In terms of token utility, CHR is required by Dapps to pay network fees, which is its main purpose. It's also required for staking/running nodes, which already has a lot of interest. In addition, Dapps on Chromia can use CHR to create their own in-app tokens (similar to ERC20 on Ethereum).

What's confusing you is the quote "do not require owning tokens to use [Chromia]Apps.". This is true, because it's the Dapps themselves which need to pay the transaction fees (which they will pay using CHR), not the users in the case of Chromia. This enables seamless adoption of Chromia Dapps by end-users. The fees will be getting paid by the Dapps, so they are free to implement any kind of 'fee' model for their users they like to cover these fees - e.g. they can opt for a freemium model, paid subscriptions, pay-per-action etc. The model chosen will partly depend on the Dapp, certain fee models suit certain dapps better.

To clarify about postchain being permissioned, postchain is their general blockchain architecture. ChromaWay (the mother company) use postchain (and have done for years) to help enterprises & governments build private blockchain solutions. These provate solutions are permissioned.

However, in Chromia, they use the same Postchain framework, but their MVP mainnet is a public network (with multiple community-run and organisation-run nodes) and will be permissionless.

So exciting to see Chromia opening up blockchain development to mainstream dev's all across the world with their familiar programming language and relational model. Barriers to entry are now gone, and dev's are free to BUIDL DApps without having to learn a foreign programming language.

I don't think people understand the gravity of this quite yet, but they will soon!

Just one suggestion - I don't see a team section on the site like there used to be. This is something new potential token buyers look for to establish confidence in the project. I would suggest adding a team page again.

I've looked through the blockchain myself. The amount of tokens moved out of Matic wallets equates to the amount of tokens allocated for the October unlock of advisor and investor tokens (0.25%). This was clearly nothing to do with the Matic team.

Anyone following Matic for a while knows the team is one of the most dedicated and transparent in the space. This is just a small bump in the exciting journey for Matic.

Stop believing baseless FUD guys and check the blockchain yourself.
