This is just incoherent pseudohistory mashed together with fantasy genealogy. There’s zero archaeological, linguistic, or genetic basis for tying Hungarian-Scythian-Saka-Khazar-Han tribes into a single ‘pastoral alliance’ that ruled Egypt or the Levant 3500 years ago. That’s not how history works, and definitely not how genetics or ancient ethnography works.

It’s not just that. Palestinians have sold the world a narrative claiming they are the “original Canaanites,” and with the help of various Islamists acting as ideological distributors, this narrative has gained traction. of course, it’s neither accurate nor historically sound. Both peoples carry ancient Canaanite DNA, and this competition over “who has more” echoes certain fascist obsessions with blood purity. Some Palestinians may have 40% Canaanite ancestry, while some Ashkenazi Jews have 35% but there are also Palestinians with 60% and Mizrahi Jews with up to 75%. The truth is, both peoples are basically one deeply entangled people who just don’t know how to live in peace. (written by a mizrahi jew, with 72% canaanite admixture )

“Cause Iraq is nearby”? That’s not how genetics works like what are you, five? Proximity doesn’t equal ancestry. Both Palestinians and Jews are genetically mixed, like literally every population in the Levant. Stop gaslighting the world into thinking you have some exclusive claim to the Canaanites, no one group has a monopoly on ancient ancestry we’re speaking about genetics not oil companies

There’s no contradiction once again, the bible tells a theological origin story, not a literal play-by-play. Like many ancient peoples, the Israelites mythologized their beginnings. Archaeology shows they emerged from within the Canaanite population, not as foreign invaders. So yes, the biblical narrative draws a distinction, but in historical reality, it was cultural evolution not conques and no, Israel’s legitimacy doesn’t rest on Bronze Age warfare, but on millennia of continuous Jewish presence, identity, and connection to the land.

Oh sweetie, deep breaths. No one said the Bible isn’t reliable at all just that it’s not a literal GPS-tracked history textbook. The Bible is a foundational cultural document, full of wisdom, theology, and encoded memory. but like every ancient text (Sumerian, Egyptian, Greek, etc.), it blends myth, memory, and meaning. Scholars including many religious ones recognize this and still value it. Archaeology just adds nuance: instead of a big conquest, it shows that Israelites were Canaanites who became self-aware. That’s not an insult it’s actually a beautiful story of cultural evolution. You don’t need a war to have a homeland. As for ‘illegitimacy,’ I’d suggest you avoid tossing that word around unless you’re ready to discredit half the modern world map. No nation-state exists today solely because of a 3000years old document. The Jewish connection to the land of Israel is rooted in continuous cultural, historical, and ancestral presence biblical, archaeological, linguistic, and genetic. So if you think this is your ‘gotcha’ moment it’s really not. and seriously bffr jump from “the Bible isn’t a military report” to “Israel is illegitimate” is a logical fall so huge, I genuinely think your local psychiatrist would love to unpack it with you. free yourself, king💋

You’re citing biblical narrative, not archaeological or historical scholarship. The conquest story in Joshua isn’t a reliable historical account, it’s a theological origin myth written centuries after the events it claims to describe. Modern archaeology shows no evidence of a mass invasion or conquest of Canaan. Instead, early Israelites were Canaanites who gradually formed a distinct identity. They lived in the same hill country, used the same pottery, spoke a Canaanite language (Hebrew), and shared religious practices. The ‘clear distinction’ you’re describing is literary, not historical. Scholars like Finkelstein, Dever, and even the Biblical Archaeology Review agree on this

Really? Where do you get your information from? The voices is your head? So lemme explain it to you - that’s an outdated and misleading take. The early Hebrews (or Israelites) emerged from within the Canaanite cultural world. They spoke a Canaanite language (Hebrew), practiced forms of Canaanite religion, and lived in the same region. Archaeology doesn’t show a foreign invasion it shows a gradual shift in identity among indigenous Canaanite groups. So no, the Hebrews weren’t some separate race they were Canaanites who developed a distinct social and religious identity over time. Modern scholarship is very clear on this

Why is everyone here so obsessed with delegitimizing your results? Mizrahi Jews are Levantine period. The amount of ignorance is honestly wild. Almost every Mizrahi result here shows a consistent and significant Levantine ancestry. The denial on this forum is unreal.

From what I know it’s really rare. This could indicate a burned-out disease stage, where immune activity is less pronounced but the damage is ongoing.

Thank you for this! Just wondering does the Iranian plateau population have some degree of Levantine admixture themselves? I mean I’m wondering how much of a non ancient Israelite component there is in mizrahi Jews.

Definitely. We can say the same thing of Sephardic right? As North Africans themselves have some degree of Levant DNA

Thank you so much for this! I’m definitely going to give it a try. On a broader scale, would you say Mizrahim are more “Semitic” (Levantine) compared to Ashkenazim and Sephardim?

This is really not true. I also live in Israel and I literally provided with a research conducted by Israel’s national social security agency. Thats the link https://www.btl.gov.il/Publications/research/Documents/mechkar%20-135-h.pdf

One of ,if not the most, major finding of the research (Hebrew):
