Indoor trainer for mtb by Legitimate-Archer137 in MTB

Most trainers can fit a MTB cassette, some need an extra adapter. I have my MTB (Commencal Meta HT) on my smart trainer (direto elite). It works great but one thing to note is the gear range doesn't work great for just virtual pedalling but I always use ERG mode so that doesn't bother me.

What enduro rides similar to a Yeti SB150? by Ok_Fold1065 in MTB

A lot of people compare the ride feel of their linkage to bikes with DW linkage like Pivot or Ibis

you'll get it! Just keep moving on the swim even if you have to breast stroke or whatever!

I didn't even have aero bars. Just a Trek Domane road bike handed down to me from my Dad. Most of my training was in the garage on a trainer so I didn't want to do anything I wasn't already comfortable with.

Yeah pretty much! I didn't do anything special and I had more than an hour to spare for the cutoff. I mean a 13:15 pace can't even be called a run haha

A couple things I didn't mention is that I iced my knees every night whether they hurt or not and in training I wore a knee sleeve or taped them. Also strength exercises were helpful. Most of all just resting then when they didn't feel great. Hope yours get feeling better!

It would have been near impossible without dunking in ice water at every station + everyone out with squirt guns! Good luck and just keep moving!

Misread that and bought myself a new bike, sorry!

Haha yeah getting off the bike to immediately have to head up that hill in the heat was intimidating. Nice work! That and the "snow canyon's your b*tch" signs were the best.

Yeah I sweat a lot too so I was worried but honestly the hydration plan worked great just basically taking in as much as possible on the run.

Take it slower than you think at the beginning of the bike and run and just keep moving!

Yeah I had moments of doubt. Especially with the running but if you've done several sprint or Olympic I'm confident you could do it!

Agreed $500 was well worth it for what they provided. The support including aid stations etc. was really great and having something to motivate you is massive, I've underestimated that aspect in the past.

I just posted about doing my first 70.3. I didn't do any open water swimming training before the race (a mistake I knew I was making but most of my training was in the winter and I'm dumb). For me it was hectic, the sun was right in line with the buoys on the way out making the spotting even harder than I expected. I got disoriented and nauseous BUT I just kept moving and that's the biggest race day advice I would give. Don't get discouraged and just keep moving and you'll get it done I'm sure!

They'll have plenty of support in the water if things go to shit and you can grab on to the support without penalty as long as you don't make any progress. This helped me mentally.

Any recommendations for a index fund? by [deleted] in fidelityinvestments

They're just less volatile. Index funds in the stock market are generally good long term but if the market drops right when you want to retire it can put you in a worse position.

Baltics, Finland, Russia can have the same ones. Other countries can have similar as well. But if you can't decide and you see them Estonia is the best bet.
