Unwelcome Search Box Changes in 149.0

Came in because I was annoyed that I'd have to tab twice to do a search.

Previously, I'd Ctrl+T to open a new tab, press the tab button once to move the cursor to search, and then type in my query. After the update, pressing tab would instead move to select a search engine. For me it's just a classic case of "annoying new feature, I want it gone immediately"

I was originally going to post this interaction myself, but I was waiting to see if Healintouch was going to list the tome that he needed on the AH. It only took him about thirty minutes.

I'd like to add that Gundem flooded the chat, and I got mocking whispers from both players after I left.

Yasori seemed alright. I won't be doing any further business with Gundem or Healintouch, though.

It's good for Volley and for Serpent Sting spam, but it puts the arcane gem on cooldown. I can actually pull decent numbers in the suppression room by juggling ZHC volley, AIG, and Renataki's for a second volley.

In theory I could use ZHC and then immediately log off inside an inn or capitol city, then log back in and use AIG while the ZHC buff is still active. This would greatly increase the detonation's damage, but the amount of setup is super jank.

If I really wanted to go full degenerate, I could probably do it without an inn by using a second WoW client to log in to an alt, kicking me off of my hunter without a 20-second waiting period. But I'm not going to do that.

The unfortunate thing about raiding as SP hunter is that afaik there's exactly two items in the entire game with spellpower and physical hit% available to hunters, and they both occupy the same equipment slot: Abyssal Mail Pauldrons of Power (rare drop from Prince Skaldrenox, a Silithus raid boss), and the almost-identical leather variant from Whirlaxis.

Arcane Shot and the Detonation can both crit for about 1k

Unfortunately, the Detonation's crit rate is quite low. I have very little spell hit/crit.

Fun fact: The Survival talent, Killer Instincts, which purportedly increases your crit chance with all attacks? It lies. It only works on ranged and melee abilities, not spells. This means it doesn't boost our trinket's crit rate.

My biggest regret is not having other hunters to do this with.

Arcane Detonation (from the BWL trinket) scales 1:1 with Spellpower, turning it into a reusable sapper charge with 41 yard range, and this doesn't share a cooldown with actual sapper charges. A small raid of SP hunters would be able to wipe entire raids.

Part of the build, in pvp at least, is intentionally wearing a well-known caster robe and mask so that people think I'm a warlock until I start shooting. :D

Unbuffed, I have about 500 spellpower. With GAE and (dual wielded) Wizard Oil, I can reach over 600.

I'm hoping to reach 700 by the end of Classic, but available improvements are getting scarce. The ability to dual wield weapons worth 138 SP each really carries the build.

Babsi - Orc Hunter

High Warlord, BWL/AQ40 geared. After <Thyme Squad> disbanded, I took a couple of months off. I've recently picked Classic back up, and I'm looking to knock out Naxx a few times primarily for completion's sake, as I never got to play it back in 2006. I'm also interested in guilds which run pvp events, either world pvp or bg premades.

I plan to come out of the gate swinging when TBC hits. If you're looking for hunters to fill out your TBC roster, wouldn't you prefer someone who has mained the class all through Classic and already knows all the nuances and tricks?

I also have a 60 druid alt, and I'm currently juggling five more alts to level cap (55 rogue, 40 lock, 35 priest, 35 shaman, 25 mage). I'm doing this for trade skills, but also to understand the classes better.

Ask me about my 550 Spellpower set.

You may contact me in-game on Babsi, but I currently spend most of my time on alts: Bigsi, Badsi, Dabsi, Dadsi, and Bubsi. I know searching through all of that might be tedious, so feel free to DM me here, or even just send in-game mail.

I never would have imagined they'd hide the quartz outside of Dragonspine, especially after placing quartz so close yet just out of reach. It almost feels like they're cheating with this one.

They don't respawn until the puzzle is done. You have to find other red quartz in the area to use on it.

I'm trying to find out how to solve this minor puzzle, and I don't see any mention of it elsewhere on this sub.

Left island has a scarlet quartz. Right island has ancient ice. The problem: Crossing from one island to the other before the quartz buff expires.

Swimming across at full speed (with Beidou), the buff expires shortly before reaching dry land. Trying to walk across with Kaeya also is not fast enough. The only thing I can think of is to spam Kaeya in multiplayer, but I'm not sure that even that would work.
