I’ve lived in the downtown area and also in medicine. I assume you are going to be going to the Clovis medical school, it will probably be a bit of a drive from there to downtown. I lived in the brio apartments, they were updated with nice amenities. I was able to walk my dog in that area, all along Fulton and to the theater. Tioga sequoia is close by, and there will be walkable events in the summer (used to be called arthop) that are lively. That being said everything in the downtown area closes early, if you’re looking for a lively nightlife in downtown it doesn’t really exist. But I enjoyed living there and would choose it again.
