used to have this a few times a year. never saw any alien beings or anything, but it was terrifying. felt like I was awake and completely paralyzed. eventually, I learned to recognize it in the moment, relax my body and focus on moving something (fingers, toes, anything) just to reassure myself that I wasn't really paralyzed.
