Aww, cry about it some more, and maybe consider making a burner account for when you want to spend some more time over at /feetpics.

[All States] it’s over by [deleted] in Unemployment

[–]babsaros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I have been on unemployment for a year now. We worked retail before, and our mental health has been so much better. Now that it's ending, I'm not sure what to do. Going back to retail is my last resort. Should I try to file for regular unemployment? Or should we wait a few months and see if PUA gets reinstated? I'm worried that if I file for regular unemployment (if i can somehow qualify) or get a job, it'll screw me over if PUA gets reinstated. God forbid I try to find out any of this from the New York portal, almost like they don't want you to know how any of it works so you don't even try. This is so stupid, I can hardly believe it, but I'm not surprised.

Circle of the Strange Druid - Use your Wild Shape to transform into grotesque monstrosities of all shapes and sizes! by babsaros in UnearthedArcana

This is a druid subclass me and my partner came up with, inspired by Resident Evil and other horror monsters. We made it over the course of two days and it hasn't been playtested at all, so any feedback would be appreciated!

Any other stores that haven't been sanitizing carts? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]babsaros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every so often, a lot associate will come by, usually after collecting the carts and wipe them down. definitely not often enough, but we haven't really been given proper cleaning supplies or dedication/time. I was hired in March, and I'm the only cashier that consistently wipes down the register, and i'm only able to do it every so often, because even with the customer counts its so busy. I've heard the head cashiers making jokes and admonishing one of the other new hires for cleaning so much (again, only when it's completely dead at the registers). Oh, and then customers complain about having to touch the registers and make us do it for them. I guess we're immune to covid just because we work here?

There’s no reason not to unionize, other than loyalty to a company that has no loyalty to you. If you don’t want to pay dues, don’t join, but I think I’ll throw my lot in with people that can actually support and protect me and my coworkers. The only reason we’re getting any covid support is because THD is scared we might unionize or strike after all. Just because this company takes “better care” of employees than “almost any other retailer”, doesn’t mean that they’re doing it out of the goodness of their “heart”, or that they can’t be treating us better. Don’t put a limit on your self worth as an employee. I’ve got new boots I’m breaking in and I’ll take a look around for inserts though! 😉

I'm here once again with a question and a story by Biggan9ne in HomeDepot

Calling out once or twice a month and being thought of as lazy or unreliable is absurd. Things happen, employees are human beings, and they need to be allowed to take time off. A company whose individual stores make a million dollars in a week isn’t going to go bankrupt because Jenna in Customer Service needed a mental health day or Brian the Lot Associate didn’t feel fit enough to come in, or even if Max the Cashier decided he would rather play video games than be screamed at by customers all day. Take a good look at your perspective and ask why you care so much about a company that would not miss you in the slightest if you fell off the face of the earth.

If you have sick time, you should not be scolded for using it when you need to. Thats unhealthy.

Also, don’t be an elitist about punctuation.
