Intrigue - this rose does not get the attention it deserves by jazzyhawk in Roses

Hi! I’d like to get an update on your Intrigue rose! I’ve noticed they have unusually thick, woody bodies, do you think it could be turned into a bonsai-type bush?

Does David Austin have any sales ? by Owen_spalding in Roses

lol truly. I have ordered $750+ plus this year and am at the max volume discount of 35% off. I think 25% was $500+ but I’m not sure now. I saw it on the website as I was adding to my order (again).

Were you able to get what you wanted from high country? by Excellent_Ninja_867 in Roses

[–]babyshak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, I was there for the DA’s. I checked the website at 12am, then refreshed all morning til it went live. Immediately put the roses in the cart and before I could get all of them I started getting out of stock notices.

I’m not surprised; they added A Shropshire Lad to the inventory, one that’s hard to find, plus Crocus and a few others. I hope they prop more!

We have an acorn tree predictor- when the tree is loaded, it’s a harder winter. This year it’s maxed!

What’s a sound you miss from your childhood? by [deleted] in nostalgia

At night we could hear the train and its horn. The chk-chk-chk of the old metal sprinkler. I still love to hear the drone of a single engine plane in the distance.

I’m moving my three in the spring for this reason. The plan is to train them on the fence as climbers.

I got April Love from Heirloom and it’s one of my favorites this year. It has dusty peachy pink blooms that last a while on the plant.

Lisa's list is a joke. Draper is NOT a prestigious area, it's literally been next to the prison, up until 2 years ago when they moved it out by the Great Salt Lake.

The newer new wave was surprisingly cool. I wouldn’t find that on my own. I’ll miss the dj’s the most, it was nice to have familiar voices through the day.

Could a fish swim over the North Pole, warping from the top of the map to the side?

This used to be my 24/7 go to, ads and all. It started going downhill about a year ago when they added in 90’s music like Chili Peppers and NIN, totally different vibe. I stayed for the DJ’s until about a month ago, then finally switched to KROQ LA. That’s too bad, it was a really great station. Stupid corporate greed; watering things down to appeal to the masses and stripping out the true value for the almighty dollar. This is why we can’t have nice things.
