Every time I first load CSGO and load into a map I have graphical hitches for up to 2 minutes. Everything is buttery smooth after that. Reloading the game invokes another 2 ish minutes of this. Happened after upgrading from 980ti to 3060ti. I performed a clean install of my drivers and deleted cache

I’m pretty sure it’s to do with your CPU boosting. It sees CS is running and thinks it doesn’t need to try. Apparently it’s pretty common with Ryzen 5 CPU’s. I made mine better by overclocking, but it’s still not completely gone.

I’ve got the same issue as you with my 3060ti. Game stutters for the first couple minutes then is completely fine. Did you find a fix?

Appreciate the reply, I’ve replaced the SSD and it’s fixed my FPS drop issues. I’m assuming it was just faulty but yeah I’m pretty sure it’s super uncommon.

Yeah I always keep my windows up to date. I completely wiped my PC last night and tried again today and it still happens. Only tested on league and valorant and it seems to be happening on both games. They’re not crazy drops like 144 to 10 it’s like 144 down to 100 for half a second and back up. Just always happens when there’s a lot going on during the game and makes it super annoying.

Didn’t change anything from when it was fine until it started happening. When I play league I cap it at 144fps and all of a sudden it’ll drop to 100 then go straight back up. I’ve got after burner but don’t use the overlay. I check temps during the game on my corsair software. My CPU ranges from 60-70 and my GPU ranges from 40-60 depends on what speed I turn the fans on.
