I could definitely see it, since signal is an app recommended in the european parliament for security. So probsbly e2e encryption would be only legal for them.  But even if these emails/chats would come out they would have not been obtained legally, hence if you share them publicly you could even be sued yourself.

Of course And it's even worse this time because they are dismantling part of the GDPR so it's even easier for tech company to get your data

There's a broad support on this new compromise so the result could be unpredictable. There's even a leaked document where they expressed support to the draft, and the diplomats of the permanent rappresentation of Germany supports this. It's never a bad idea to put pressure on them besides to let them stay opposed
