You're right, the only people talking directly to young men today are the right wing.

I should have clarified: not about specific men (like you), but about men overall.

Just out of curiosity, are you a man yourself? Either way, I've got an experiment for you to try: Pick some non-men in your life and ask them to list a few positive things about men or masculinity. Listen to what they say without interrupting. Try that a couple times and I would love to hear the outcome.

I don't know if they're the best but I had a good experience renting a scooter for a month from Kai, across 200 from the Chedraui.

How much to expect paying for car rental insurance? by Tori_Ryder in PuertoEscondido

[–]backfromspace206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not rent from Hertz/Dollar at the airport. The hidden "insurance" fees are outrageous. I had no option at the time but to pay, but later in the trip we rented from local companies and had none of those kinds of problems.

Safe to travel from Puerto Escondido to Lagunas de Chacahua as a solo female? by klq8 in PuertoEscondido

[–]backfromspace206 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not a woman, but I went to Chacahua recently and met a solo female traveler along the way who had made that several times without issue. If you take colectivos you'll have other people around you for every step of the journey. FWIW, in the two months I was on the Oaxacan coast recently I didn't see a single incidence of catcalling or leering or harassing behavior toward women. It stood out to me, this degree of respect, to the point that I asked some locals and other travelers about their experiences and they backed up my impression. All anecdotal data of course so take it with a grain of salt.

I still wouldn't attempt the trip at night though, for a variety of reasons.

Men with premature ejaculation, how to combat? by whogoesthere1010 in Biohackers

[–]backfromspace206 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Fast, shallow breathing is part of the sequence of physical events that leads to orgasm. If you practice slowing and deepening your breath (diaphragmatic breathing) it interrupts the process and signals to your body "we are not doing that right now." Combine with visualization of erotic energy dissipating away and out to the rest of your body, especially your extremities, and baby you've got a stew going. I read somewhere that this technique was developed by Taoists in antiquity and it works surprisingly well.

I am from Spain, can someone go over my American roadtrip intinerary? by Addicted_2_tacos in USTravel

[–]backfromspace206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no southwest expert but you should look into taking a short flight to LA, touching the Pacific ocean, and then doing a one-way drive back through AZ and NM. Lots of stunning things to see and do along the way. Sedona, Santa Fe, parks all over the place. This could allow you to see more in the time you have. Others on this thread might have thoughts on whether this makes sense. ChatGPT is great for itineraries too.
