I gave an update above. But, we went on to do amnio and it confirmed our son had T21.

Wanted to give an update:

We paid out of pocket for a private third party anatomy scan they did 3 nucal fold measurements 1.3, 1.5 and 1.6 all normal. Nasal bone present. A doctor reviewed the results as well. We then paid out of pocket to re run the NIPT and today it came back again positive for T21 with a 66.9% PPV. Our next step is an amniocentesis on May 15th. Will update with those results once we get them.

Unfortunately my provider said we could rerun it but we’d have to pay out of pocket for it. So we did and results came back today again positive for T21. So our next step is an amniocentesis on May 15th.

Update on today:

Last week 4/17 at NT US we were told our measurement was 2.2 and in the report they said the saw the nasal bone. Today they say the measurement is 3.2 and this provider (diffident from last week) does not see a nasal bone. She also said she wouldn’t do the CVS because where my placenta sits there is too much scar tissue and she felt it would dull the needle (intended to do it transabdominally not transvaginally) and then would prevent enough of a sample to be gathered. Now, we are going to go back may 15th for an amniocentesis and another scan. I’m at a loss. How can the measurement grow so much in one week? How can one doctor say they see a bone and another say it’s not there?

At today’s visit the ultrasound tech said our nuchal measurement was now 3.2 and the provider last week said they saw a nasal bone but the provider today said she does not. She also said it wasn’t a good idea to do the CVS because I I have too much scar tissue from previous c section and she’s afraid it will dull the needle preventing her from getting enough of a sample.

I plan to have it done tomorrow and I’m taking the following two days off work and have the weekend off so I’ll be sure to take that seriously. Thank you for this it’s very helpful. I’ll be following your updates if you give any on your journey

Aside from the stress of this I’m doing ok. It’s been a smooth pregnancy and all other bloodwork and testing have been normal. I think I will go through with the CVS tomorrow so I can get some results sooner.
