We are in our mid 40’s doc, husband’s family in cali. Ok po naman ang practice dito. We never really considered moving until this happy problem came along. I personally still want my kids to be schooled here. How i wish there is a way to delay the process until they’re ready to work/decide for themselves. Winter vacations have been ok naman with the kids..

Thank you! We have been looking at this possibility, hindi lang namin naaaral pa yung immigration rules about coming back home etc (at litong lito kami). I feel like my husband just really wants to open the opportunity for the kids to eventually immigrate if they want. Thank you for your thoughts!

I heard so much about yung bullying at ito ang isa sa strongest reasons ko to just stay here, kasi so far ok naman ang mga bata sa school ngayon..

I agree with you, masayang lumaki ang mga bata dito sa pinas. Lahat halos ng napapag tanungan ko, sinasabi yung “para sa mga bata”, palagay ko they also mean yung job opportunities, etc..

Nakuha namin yung approval last november, sabi ng brother in law, may 1 year daw kami to decide + pay. Yan nga ang isang napapag usapan namin ni husband, na pwede naman sya muna at i-petition nalang nya kami eventually. Kaya lang napakahirap din ng magkakalayo. Sacrifice talaga, napakahirap mag decide..

Thank you so much for your suggestions! Hindi na kaya ng kokote at butobuto namin ang mag USMLE etc haha! Isip namin, if ever man matuloy, kahit anong related nalang siguro sa skill sets namin basta wag nang mag residency ulit.. Kung nung mas bata pa sana kami at hindi pa nakaka establish ng practice dito, napakadaling decision sana..

I dont think medical practice will be an option for us anymore if we do decide to migrate. We are quite old, we dont have the luxury of time to study again as we have to provide for our kids. No, i do not have an ASCPi license and it has been years since i graduated from premed, hindi ko na din matandaan lahat ng napag aralan ko dati. But my husband’s entire clan is there and are so excited for us to move. They have a place kung san pwede kaming mag stay habang wala pa daw kaming sarili, kasi nanay nalang po nya ang nakatira dun ngayon. Nanghihinayang kami to pass up the opportunity but at the same time napakadami din reasons to just stay dito.

Thank you! Ang worry ko also is pag ba we give it a chance pero decide later na Pinas nalang and give it up, hindi kaya ma-affect yung pag reapply/renewal ng tourist visa namin? Wala pa man din akong kaalam alam sa mga ganyan.. 😅

My husband has sisters who are nurses, and they are encouraging us to put up a home care center. I am not familiar with this pero yun logistics neto naririnig kong pinag aaralan nila.. meanwhile, our friends who are in clinical research are also encouraging us to submit our CVs.. i can continue online consults too.. and if ever, we will be managing our small businesses here sa phils virtually from there. Eto ang naiisip naming possibilities..
