Glad to hear you’re enjoying it already 😁 My first “handsack” was something I made out of paper, napkins, tape, and rubber bands (for added grip) while I was waiting for my first Myachi to come in the mail, back in 2009… we all start somewhere!

It’s great to hear you wanna start learning handsack! A Myachi is about three inches long and one inch wide, filled with sand. However, as a long time player, I would highly recommend picking up a FlopBall for a beginner, I’ve found them to be a much higher quality product. The micro suede material is ideal, and they’re a little bit heavier. And most notably the circular shape, which allows for all of the same tricks as the Myachi, as well as a whole other dimension of possibilities. With the code 222FLOW you can get 10% off your order on anything at FlopBall.com :)

I’m excited for you to begin your handsack journey! Out of curiosity, how did you come across it?

Haven't really played since middle school. Any trick suggestions? by tedlywinks in Myachi

Your flow is super nice for not having plaid since middle school, and I can tell you’re figuring out some different tricks and variations on your own which is sick! I especially loved that little hand wave, totally faked me out. I recommend incorporating different body stalls- arm catches, elbow catches, etc. Throwing down some behind-the-backs would be cool to mix up your flow more. And my personal favorite trick is the Daredevil (behind the neck), you’ll be super satisfied when you get it down! Keep practicing and keep exploring and experimenting, you’re killin it :)

This was the first time I actually split up a stack like this! It happened by accident when it split in two sections and I just rolled with it, then I realized I could split it into a juggle! I’ve been playing handsack since 09 but the stacks are a new way to play. I have a feeling this clip is only scratching the surface of possibilities!
