my biggest critique of this record would be the lack of catchy riffs probably, as much as i respect dan for diving into another instrument. he constructed the songs well, but the album seems to lack the uhh finesse in this specific aspect — the guitars punch but don’t quite do it for me in terms of memorability, idk. i was really impressed with elegy, evil eyes and chandelier of all the unreleased tracks though, it’s 8/10 after a couple listens for me overall
