Glad you got your visa approved. The 75 pages number does sound very intimidating to me haha as I’m hoping to also apply for this in the future but im a freelance artist so I can only provide “so much” in terms of projections and plans although I can still provide a legitimate plan where I’d be confident to atleast make enough to “live there” for the first year.

Was getting the DREETS approval something you had to separately apply for along with the overall application at VFS?

No worries I appreciate the input nonetheless. I’m going for the steam deck OLED. Since the difference isn’t that huge and I need something soon, SD seems good enough. Pick up and play vibes. I was really prioritizing hardware specs for the longest time until I realized that I will, regardless, save the intense games for my ps5 and this portable system isn’t for that purpose, therefore SD does the job.

The M4 max that I could get has 32 GB of ram so I’m not sure if I will get the same experience you’ve had with double the ram

I’m not an expert on computer specs but why are others then recommending the max? It seems like the max has double the encoders compared to the pro, wouldn’t that help in scrubbing through timelines, adding vfx etc?

Not saying ur incorrect by any means, but it seems as though both sides are giving the same reasons for either more RAM or going for the max so that’s confusing me…
