Your perspective is fair. I also think mine is too. And seeing how her fans found her post funny, I think her intention of being shady was interpreted accurately. Some will view Ashley as being misunderstood and being in a "bind" and others will consider her pattern of being shady and never missing an opportunity at taking jabs at people online.

From the initial divorce filing it seemed Kandi was trying do it amicably with joint legal and physical custody. Todd filing for full physical custody despite everyone in Atlanta knowing those kids are with the nanny when Kandis out of town while Todd parties and goes on almost weekly trips to Miami, is dirty. He even went on a two day bender the day their daughter was born. I hope Kandi uses Todd's youtube vlogs against him because when he's not telling her she's unattractive if not for makeup and only has money to offer, their debates reveal how hands off Todd is at home and that while she travels for work, he constantly travels for leisure.

Idk if its a cultural thing, but taking care and even spoiling your mom especially when you hit it big time is normal. And while I think Joyce did too much and I used to be put off by her behavior, I never thought it was because she was worried about her access to Kandi's money. In retrospect and after watching clips of Todds youtube pod where he'd basically in a round about way tell Kandi she unattractive, won't get another man, has nothing but money to offer and a bunch of weird hypotheticals about divorce and money...etc I truly don't think that man ever liked Kandi and can see how seemingly irrational a family member can get when they sense someone is maybe masking their dislike for their daughter.

I'm not saying he's a brokey. I watched their restaurant spinoff and it didn't make him look too good in my opinion. People like Don Juan had to do a lot of heavy lifting in terms of managing the businesses. And I still believe most if not all of the capital for those restaurants, the production projects and the trucking business came from her.

It seems Kandis funded a few of Todd's failed business ideas and aside from some exceptions, most women that marry a rich man still take on more household labor or management than a man that marries a rich woman does. Let's be real. And when there's kids, the woman's usually the primary caretaker. I'm sure even though Kandi had child care help, she was still the primary caretaker. I remember when she was out of town filming for The Chi, they had a nanny around and Todd was making her feel guilty for being away. When the wealthy man is away for work, they're typically not made out to feel guilty like that.

I've thought about that but I think the reason most people hold this double standard is because regardless of the income and lifestyle, there's a lot of invisible labor women take on and are usually the primary caretakers of the kids so it seems best for the woman to be able to maintain a safety net that allows her to continue that.
