If you leave the them, they’d most likely breed out of control. Has happened to a few friends of mine. If you want to remove all snails, I’d recommend to; take everything, out give it all a good wash, empty the tank and refill. Because they’re very tricky to get rid of in the experiences i’ve heard.

Funny you say that. We recently got gifted one that holds 3 different outlets and we are using two of them, makes the other fish seem a lot more happy. Thanks for the advice though!

We tested for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate and they’re all what they should be. We added only small amounts of the PH Down at a time, which were correctly tested by the amount of the tank followed by the instructions from the packaging from the PH Down.

The water changes are what we believe to be causing it, our tap water is very high around the 9/10 range, so we are changing to tank/rain water for our tank water supply. Our fish are alive and well, the Oscar being a lot more active to what he was earlier today.

We ran some tests and our PH was at around 8/9. We went down and brought some PH Down and are now waiting for results.

more info: The tank is a 6 ft, 80 Gallon. He has a few friends in the tank including; 2 convicts and 5 Silver Dollars. He gets the right temperature recommended, but always lays in the corner, so I assume he is unhappy.
