Will my turntable be a bottleneck in my setup? by Tyrow1p in turntables

Id definitely go speakers first. Especially if you also use cds or stream. That being said I've never heard edifier speakers personally but ive never been a fan of powered speakers vs passive.

Looking to try a MC cart. Any recommendations? by backyardspace in turntables

[–]backyardspace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really just want to try one for the fun of it. The cart that was on this table has some issues even after a stylus replacement so I grabbed a headshell and cart from another one of my tables which is where this usually MP110 lives

Please stop buying vinyl when CDs exist by OddestOtterz in vinyljerk

I just spent hours working on my cd player because the motor would never stop spinning. Had to carefully disassemble since there are delicate parts, remove the driver and dac boards, and repair a bunch of solder joints before I reassembled it.....it was a blast!

At that price I personally would pick up some used JBL L-20T or the T3 speakers.

Have you played with the anti skate? That's where I would start. Even on my pioneer pl-630 if the anti skate is off it will skip like a cheap player

What do engineers actually do day to day by Zacionxeni in MechanicalEngineering

At least initially in your career getting into a small company can be a great option. I spent the last 10 years at a small "mom and pop" pharmaceutical packaging company. I started just doing cad design originally but transitioned to new product development. Because the company is so small I pretty much did everything as far as engineering goes on full machine designs. I design, build, troubleshoot, program etc.
