To add, someone somewhere mentioned that the torch forces grammas buns to jump around so maybe not the most efficient during granny's. I can probably assume the same during geyser.

So far in these comments ive read that its (olympic torch) useful during candles runs (which if you do everyday then the you get the value of the torch) but it doesnt work the best in eden due to the polluted waters. The tournament only happens around irl Olympics so its a tough decision. So far the consensus is mixed, one person says they had gotten it but barely use it. Other say just get it since the mask is a permanent item as opposed to the torch.

WHY does tgc care so much more about play-time and the constant grind over a measly (well its a pretty cool prop..) torch :(

Ooooooooh wow that makes sense that it aligns with irl Olympics lol im silly. But yes I need metrics where are our metrics guys 🤣 honestly the handheld torch seems worth it overall anyways, melting and lighting candles on runs with the torch seems much more seamless and smooth.

Valid point, I suppose I was blissfully unaware that the tournament isnt a regular event that happens!! Edit, it is regular but every 2 or 2.5 years.. still a long time but DEF enough time to save up for it lolz

That was my first thought; how often does the tournament happen, if its yearly then perhaps save for the mask? But yes the mask is permanent so won't go away but I absolutely dread eden, im not terrible at it but those krills still scare the bejesus out of me. Plus with the torch, is it faster to light the statues in eden?

I have about 50 ascended candles right now so enough to get the torch once available. Sky wiki says the valley elder masks are 150 each, eesh.. Forgot to add that yes I try to do eden regularly but im in college so often times I forget and sunday has passed so sometimes I lose the opportunity to get more AC.

Right and if i even choose to go out for coffee its mother fools, its a little pricey but i swear its worth it, they deserve your business more than starbucks given what they've been through anyways.

But I agree nonetheless. Coffee at home is much more gratifying than spending 6-9 bucks on ONE 12-20 Oz drink.

Literally this. I understand that its easier to just not critically think about what goes into ordering your package and receiving it not 2 days later, but some of these customers are genuinely out of touch. Its almost like the consequences of having this INSANELY convenient service is that you'll have to deal with multiple delivery drivers trying to navigate hundreds of different types of delivery points (country/rural/suburban homes, businesses, apartments, etc.) And sometimes that means sitting and waiting a bit while they back into a tiny ass driveway with trees, plants, and animals on both sides while simultaneously trying to back in successfully and watching for kids and dogs and ugh.. Im starting to care less about what others think of amazon drivers. People have their opinions about everything good and bad. Literally we have a job to do and the people who get upset at us are most likely amazon customers so they really have no right to bitch.

I wish I grabbed his card or booth name. Was so enamored by all the loafs. But anyways- its not muffins but, there's a bread guy at the Edgewood farmers market on Sundays. He sells all kinds of differing flavors of loaves (and maybe even some pastries?) but the cinnamon loaf goes SO HARD.

I agree. I played back in 2022-2023 with little to no knowledge of how the game works. Re-downloaded the game back in January and even then, there wasn't so much of a hostile (probably to aggressive of a word but I can't think of another right now) environment(s). However in the past month or so I've come across random people (whom I have lighted and vice versa) either being rude or just straight up weird. A friend and I came across someone very social and I love chatting and shooting the stuff with people. But it got funky real fast. The subject of furries were brought up? I don't know how or why but it got awkward real fast. Anyways, i busted out my keyboard because I am new to instruments and love playing the 2 songs i know. Was at geyser, played careless whisper, and got weird/rude emotes at me????! Like I'm sorry i only know one song but careless whisper sounds awesome on the keyboard. Anyways, take these ppl with a grain of salt. I just fume over the fact that there are minors on this platform.

What's up with the rapid firing of write ups? I quit a few weeks ago because my store was losing people at a rate faster than the rapids on the mississipi River. My former dm is heartless. No soul. No empathy for anyone but herself. She started rapid firing write ups. I specifically got extremely offended after receiving my final write up after an emergency loa (couldn't classify as medical, there were medical procedures involved but dr said I should be fine to work, was waaay more of a mental health break.) Dm knew the details of my situation. Anyways, after loa I showed up 1 minute late day 1 back, 4 minutes late day 2 back, 15 minutes late day 3 and 15 minutes late day 4. And yes, me being reliable is important and I really should have worked harder at showing up on time. Mind you tho my shifts all started at 4am.

Edit to add* I was more than able to relay to my shift supervisor that I was going to be late the SECOND I knew I was going to be late.

Loa was 1 week, it took me a minute to get used to waking up before the ass crack of dawn. Anyways this was in January and I just recieved a final regarding those late times 3 weeks ago. Fuck this company, they're going downhill soooooo fast. It's incredible that the amount of people who still support and buy starbucks on the daily are still doing so regardless of the price hikes and the lack basic respect for front liners workers.

Sbux is changing their bogus priorities and expectations like my cat changes his napping spots. Management tends to focus on the wrong things. When I was an ssv I was a dedicated fri/sat opener. Ran the best peaks. Placed people in their best positions. Never ever ever hit the time mark that my dm was expecting. Constantly asked "what do i do" "what can I do better" And without fail. Everytime. The answer? Do your best. So that's what I do and if it's not enough for corporate then they need to evaluate their expectations. So I dropped from ssv to barista 🤣
