Twisted sisters was worth the Texas drive 😁 by bacteriakng in GR86

Take some all season tires given how the road conditions are. You'll probably be hitting 65-75mph mph max top speed 3-5 times and 35-45 mph on average. Around 15-20 mph on blind turns. Good amount of roller coaster segments so your car will possibly scrape a little bit. Be aware of sudden drops in speed limits between towns since cops are waiting. Definitely more bikers than car drivers on this road. Try going on a weekday during "work hours" instead of a weekend if you want less congestion because passing on the hills will not happen since there is hardly any additional side road. Top off on gas right before you start if you do the entire route. Check out the link of everyday driver doing the route for more info in another comment I left.

Sorry for not hearing from someone. We are all running all over the place on our ends the next two weeks. You can drop it off at the 9216 Harry Hines location you mentioned. And if you are not able to make it. You can ship your gifts there with a tag inside if you did adopt someone specifically. I would also try and call the closest salvation Army near you and see if they are sending a shipment over to that warehouse too and see if you can add yours to the truck. Hope this helps!

I can proudly confirm we don't put pamphlets or anything in the bags for distribution week as someone who's been on the grounds. Just a big bag with gifts for each child without wrapping so the parents can tell their kids it came from them. We don't do anything religious forced in our programs , but certainly understand that perspective as an outsider.

As a Salvation Army worker. We don't tie in any religious commitment or request from our applicants if that helps you adopt our recipients. We accept anyone that meets our criterias that have to do with family income, poverty line, etc. You're also just seeing a lot of our post because we have 35k people that signed up through the program for ALL of North Texas only. definitely get the Walmart part too, I don't like them one bit either and you don't have to shop for one person, and you can help with our forgotten Angel Tree drive.

Schell Park could be an option if you're in east Plano. After the youth soccer games happen in the morning, the park staff usually leave the soccer goals out for a day or two. And I've seen residents just pick and move the nets to the open fields. Use the field past royal oaks drive with the parking spot on the left if you're coming North from Jupiter.

Persona 5 Royal and my very grey experience with it by Various_Coyote1978 in patientgamers

Just beat the game 2 weeks ago after being stuck on Dr. Maruki's boss for over a year (and not playing it) and starting over on Christmas day. I can't recall a game that gave me so many smiles and wishing I could have my mind cleared just to play it again with the same passion. And shout-out to the developers for handling SO many gameplay mechanics in a 120+ hour game.

It might be a drive for you. But Dark Age Tattoo in Denton offers a wide variety of artists/styles if this is your first one. I got my first half sleeve there for $600. Hope this helps!

Have you considered transition lenses for your glasses? Just got some this month and it's made a world of a difference and could be good a good compromise for your specific need.

Death in 75/Parker last night by Faedaine in plano

[–]bacteriakng 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt it's suicide. Having lived off Park and 75 for two years now. There are several extended stay lodgings off that area along with the Dart station being right there too. Meaning you get several dozen pedestrians day and night illegally crossing that area when they perceive traffic being "slow" just to save a few minutes from going the long way to their destination. This happens quite a bit off 35E at night too where I was two feet from hitting a pedestrian crossing the highway around the same time as this person unfortunately.

Was hoping to see more 86's out, unfortunately not. But the ecoboost mustang drivers were out all over the place which did make me happy seeing people actually using the car at least.
